Got this for my high energy larger breed dog to keep him away from roommate's cat who live in front half of apt. Great bc he cant jump it and I can easily walk through. Not too difficult to set up, though instructions arent the best. No tools needed beyond screwdriver. Can be taken down and moved to a new doorway. Should do only minimal damage to walls/doorway (just small holes) And the price of this compared to others was considerably lower yet it is extra high and sturdy. A great buy.

I accepted ownership of a dog that was being neglected by being left out on an apartment patio day and night, barking his head off, from the time he was a pup. While I am at work he and my first dog stay in the first bedroom with the doggie door. When I come home I let them out into the rest of the house. Then I started seeing the telltale signs this little boy was marking his territory. Tried various training methods, even had my living room area boxed off like a fort! Finally I said, this is my house and I am taking it back! With this gate in the doorway the dogs can see out but can not get out. My house is mine again!!!! I like the height of the gate also as it is at waist height and I don't have to bend down to open and close as I am coming or going. Feels very sturdy and will last many years. Whoopee!!!!!!!

This is a very good product. I use it as a baby gate to keep my 9 month old daughter out of places she doesn't need to be. It is well built and sturdy. If you are interested in ordering this product online using site-to-store be prepared to wait. You get free shipping, but they make up for that with long delivery time.

I like how tall this gate is and it looks nice but the installation is the problem. There are screws with flat rubber pieces at the end. These pieces just slide into a hole on the sides of the gate and that makes them just wobble around in the hole. (Mine are about 2 inches out on each side) and luckily my dogs or baby haven’t learned to just push and pull it really hard or I’m sure they would break it. If there were threads it would be great cause it would hold it down. We almost returned it but we can’t find anything this all at a reasonable price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I got this Extra tall safety gate to use to separate my living room and kitchen so that my niece will not go into the kitchen while we are cooking. She is pretty tall for her age so we needed a taller one so that she couldn't climb over it. What I love about this one is that it is very sturdy metal and has a nice opening to open it, you do not have to climb over it or take it down every time you want to go into the kitchen like other ones. The opening inst very wide, and with me being bigger, its a bit of tight squeeze to get through it but it works amazing!!What I also love about this one is how easy it is to clean, you just take a damp cloth and wipe it down and you are good to go. I highly recommend this one.

This is a great product if you are trying to create boundaries for your pet. I have a small cat so I was afraid she would be able to jump over it or squeeze through the bars, but it's really been perfect! I have owned this product for 3 weeks and no complaints so far! It is easy to setup and I like the locking feature that allows you to easily walk in and out as well (as long as you're not obese - it could be a tight squeeze for bigger people). Well worth the cost if it means keeping the cat hair at bay.

It’s the perfect height to keep my toddler and toddler nephew out of places they shouldn’t be. It was super simple to instill, I was able to do it by myself in no time. I love how it locked via the top and at the bottom. Simply switch the lock down on both sides in secret and the toddlers don’t know why it won’t open even if the can stretch and reach the handle. I also love this gate for my dogs. I highly recommend this gate! Super sturdy, easy to install, multipurpose and damage free to your walls.

i bought this so that i could keep my daughter out of our kitchen. whe is 36in tall and 2yr old who is able to crawl up most gates, so i needed a tall durable gate and this one is wonderful because it has bars that go up and down instead of side to side which she was able to crawl up. perfect for all the lil dare devils out there!

I bought this gate to replace our Evenflo Simple Effort Gate (which was 30 inches tall). We now need the extra height. Pros: - About $20 cheaper than similar gates in this height. - Full 41 inches height, placed on the floor. You can add a couple more inches if you mount it above the floor. - Appears to be sturdy and decent quality. - Very easy to set up (phillips screwdriver required). - Taller than most baby gates, toddlers cannot climb over it. - Older children can walk through without having to ask an adult to let them through. No sore or pinched finger trying to open it. - Easy to remove the gate, - you do not need to unscrew the hardware if you want to remove the gate temporarily. Just as easy to put it back up. Cons: - While it is a pressure mount gate, you still have to drive 4 small screws into your wall or door frame, otherwise the gate is unsafe and a small toddler can push or kick it out of its position. - It is almost too easy to open - a 3 year old can open it, after watching a parent do it (I suggest, try not to let your toddler see you how to open it). - The room door cannot be closed while gate is in position because the doorknob is in the way. - While the extra height is great for the child, it is not so great when the parent wants to step over the gate with hands full. - It requires 2 hands to open, which can be difficult while carrying a sleeping baby. - The gate opening is 15 inches wide, it has not been a problem for us, but I imagine it might be an issue for heavier people. Overall a good buy and we decided to keep it. My perfect gate however would be the Evenflo Simple Effort Gate with remote control opener but in this height. If it becomes available, we are switching without a doubt.
