The height of this gate is why I bought it because my 2 year old son can climb over every gate in the house. I wanted him to be safe and this gate did the job. It would be nice if the locking mechanism was a little harder to open so he doesn't figure it out but other then that I found it works well and was fairly easy to install. I was very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

I bought this gate to mainly keep out ours cats. Well our smaller kitten can go right through the bars and jump over it. Our larger cat cannot go through it. I’m hoping by the time my kitten gets a little fatter she won’t be able to go through the bars. It works great for our dogs also. Some people mentioned the walk through is small but we haven’t had any trouble with that. We also had to screw ours to the wall. I love the height of it. The only thing we had to get used to was the bar that runs across the bottom we hit our toes on it at first. Over all I love it. We also had to zip tie cardboard from the packaging onto the gate to at least keep the kitten from going through.

I've had three different gates before this one, and this is by far the most sturdy gate. Neither my kids nor my boxer can knock it over, and I really can open it with one hand. **I used different screws to install the gates because the screws included, I felt, were too short**

We truly thought this was a pressure gate. It's not, you have to screw pads on the wall first then the gate is pressured onto the pads. We do like how high the gate is. We have only had this gate a couple weeks so we are not to sure how the durability will be. We don't like the latch lock system - it's made of plastic and locks weird. The bars are not far enough apart for our cats to get to their litter box so the door has to stay open a lot. The door only swings one way.

I purchased this brand because it was less expensive and was sorry I did. We already have a standard sized Dream Baby gate but it was too short for our new puppy. He's a jumper/climber. This gate is wobbly and does not stand up as well as the other brand. I do not recommend buying this gate and I will be returning mine to the store. You get what you pay for.

Using this gate to separate the spaniel and the siamese. We installed just outside a doorway (as you would if door was at end of hallway)so it does not interfere with the closing of the door or the use of the doorknob. Easy to set up.(my eighteen year old put together and set in place in under 5 minutes without even reading the instructions). We did not use the plastic caps that were provided because the walls are paneling/brick. We've had it for a couple weeks and use it daily. Sturdy and easy to open and close although it does take two hands to open. Love the height, latch is at a level that requires no bending for those over 50. Shopped around alot and this is the best gate for a great price. Price ($42)was less than half of most gates. I would highly recommend this gate.

We bought this gate to keep our 2 cats and dog out of our babies nursery. No one has been able to get over it and its easy for us to open and close. Hard for me to walk in sideways being 8 months pregnant, so might be a tighter walk through for larger people... Easy to install too.

Finally, a gate our extremely active dog cannot get over, under or through!! We had a little bit of trouble getting it up, but only because our railing was in the way (we put it up at the bottom of a set of stairs). It's very easy to open, close, and lock the walk-through gate. We're very satisfied with it.

Absolutely brilliant! My little cavapoo puppy could never fit between the bars nor could he jump over this high gate - even though he could easily jump over a standard sized baby gate. Easy to set up, and exactly what I was looking for. The opening is just fine, I can get through it with space to spare on either side. The entrance is a big as possible given the fact that it must fit between a door opening. This product solved a major problem for such a small price. Totally worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had kids for 5 years, so ive had my fair share of baby gates up all over the house for safety. My husband and I were so tired of stepping over the gates 20 times a day!! This walk thru gate has been a game changer! It’s so much easier to just open a gate and walk through it instead of throwing your leg up over it. We will definitely be replacing all of our step over gates with these!
