My only complaint is there’s a not so great after taste. But all in all this gave me the energy I needed after a hard workout.

It doesn’t taste overly sweet like other chocolate protein drinks. It has a very smooth texture and no aftertaste. It doesn’t coat your mouth either. I drank think after a strength training workout. I am definitely going to look for these in the grocery store and purchase. I highly recommend!

Another bonus is the clean ingredients compared to others. It has the consistency of chocolate milk. Now as for taste, it’s not the best because it definitely tastes like protein. It’s not chalky at al, which is nice. It tastes very sweet and that helps if you have a sweet tooth. I like to keep these in the refrigerator to get it nice and cold and that tastes a lot better in my opinion. These are perfect for on the go as a snack or meal. I like it, mainly because it’s not overly sweet or sweet at all. It’s just right for me as I don’t take sugar in my teas and drinks. It has a rich chocolate flavor, I got hint of coffee too, a bit of a bitter aftertaste. There’s no fake sugar aftertaste. Some people may say it’s not good if they like their drinks sweet but if you are like me who don’t take sugar in drinks then you may like it. I love, love it’s got 32 grams of protein and even it has 3 grams of fiber and only 200 calories. I drank it as a meal replacement after my workout. It has the consistency of milk, not a milkshake. It’s smooth, not grainy or gritty which is awesome. I like it’s a ready drink and I can take on the go. I would drink again.

I recently added OWYN Pro Elite Chocolate to my post-run routine because it is hard to find a clean plant-based drink that still packs 32g of protein. The allergen-friendly ingredients are a huge win. I can drink this immediately after a long effort without any of the bloating or heaviness I get from whey. It is very effective at keeping me full until my next actual meal. Why I gave it 4 Stars: The only reason I am not giving it a full five stars is the flavor profile. Personally, I found it to be a bit too sweet for my liking. Because it uses monk fruit and stevia, the sweetness is quite concentrated. If you prefer a more bitter, raw cocoa taste, this might feel a little too sweet. The consistency is quite thick and creamy. I highly recommend keeping these in the back of the fridge so they are ice cold when you get back from a run. It makes the sweetness much more refreshing!
