Good LP gas tanks.

We purchased 2 tanks and shipping was quick for the times we are in. Had them filled and no problems at all. Will be purchasing another one soon because we like having extras because at times there is no telling what is going to happen and we can at least use the grill.

Bent and dented propane tank.

Previously ordered tank, arrived last night and returned today because arrived bent up and dented. Ordered another one today b/c cost is satisfactory. Hopefully, it is sent immediately (ASAP) without defects. Not happy, needed it ASAP d/t frigid weather.

I would love to have/recommend it. But how?

that tank leaked so badly. it was unbearable with all the car windows opened. I took it and had the propane drained and then returned it. I was so disappointed because I really wanted a 30 lb tank. I had even purchased a cover for it. boy am I glad I didn't wait til the last minute to find out it had a crack.

If you had it filled and it smelled in the car then most likely there is no leak, it was simply overfilled so the pressure relief valve did its job and released some gas so that the tank would not explode.

Disappointed

Bought three of these as the price was really good! Unfortunately, they were gifts for part of Christmas presents - so we just recently had them filled with propane - so everything would be ready to go for their outdoor fire pit gifts. All three of them have leaked propane. We had to have the gas company out, because we thought we had a gas leak in the house it was so strong. Even though they were in the garage - the smell was strong enough we could smell it inside the house. Unfortunately, when we took them back to the place that filled them, they said there’s nothing they could do with them because the valves on them were bad out of manufacturing. This turned out to be a very expensive gift as we had to replace them.

This does not sound like a defective valve, it sounds like the cylinders were overfilled and the pressure relief valve was doing its job and releasing some propane so that the tank would not explode. It is very common that a tank is overfilled, especially when the filling station is charging for the volume of propane. You can also check by the weight of the cylinder to see if it was overfilled but I am willing to bet that this is what happened here. It is extremely unlikely that 3 tanks in a row had a faulty valve.

Defective

I purchased and took it to be filled. Several managers can put trying everything. The tank couldn’t be filled. They recommended I return it to where it was purchased. The full station advised, although it is rare, every so often they get a tank they aren’t able to get it to fill.

We are sorry to hear that you had trouble filling your tank. Sometimes if the valve is open when the propane pump is turned on, that sudden rush of pressure (and there is always some air initially in the valve space etc) can push the air in and down that activates the OPD. If this happens your tank can still be filled by following the procedure in this video which you can show this to the propane filler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXZjLaVskPM

Ordered multi pack got one

The web page with the tanks says multipack, then gives options for one two or three. One tank is not a multi pack. For me, instead of getting two tanks for a good price, I got one tank for $20 more than average price of $70. The tanks are presently on Ebay for $60

Good purchase and process. Only, not easy to refil

It is as promised. Delivery was very easy. All checked out. Only headache in this time of the virus is, since the tank is shipped without gas, where to find a refill. I can not seem to find a place that exchanges this FlameKing. All over the place I see only BlueSomething. Including Walmart. Secondly, Walmart did not have the 30lb ones. I had to give up this 30LB and go for a 12lb I think.

Very satisfied customer.

Propane tanks can only be refilled for 12 years after they have been manufactured. (The manufacturing date is stamped on the collar of the propane tank.). Then they need to be re-certified. Re-certified propane tanks are only good for another two or five years, depending on the type of re-certification that is performed. And the cost of re-certification is equal to the cost of purchasing a new propane tank. So it makes more sense to purchase a new propane tank than to re-certify an old one. My propane tanks were getting close to being 12 years old. So I elected to purchase new propane tanks instead of re-certifying my old ones. I compared prices from various vendors and I found that Walmart had the lowest price. So I purchased (4.) new, empty, 20 pound propane tanks from Walmart. FedEx delivered them to my front door. So, if you are in the market for a propane tank, I'd suggest you see what Walmart has to offer before you spend your money elsewhere.

Good Quality Item If You Can Get It Delivered

They seem to have a problem getting these orders to customers. Initially I ordered three tanks, I never received them. After going round a bit I was refunded for the full price. I reordered the tanks again, received one, not three. I am now trying again to get the other tanks sent or a refund.
