Great price and a perfect mid-size tank that’s still very portable. The 40 pound tanks are a challenge to lift and load into the back seat foot space of a passenger car, or SUV for that matter. This 30 pound tank obviously gives you greater capacity over the standard 20… The tank arrived without any visible damage to the shipping box, and I visited Tractor Supply for propane.

tank in a terrible stated box and dented..i am very disappointed about this as I live in. a trailer park and depend on my propane to heat my home as well shower and cook with .In my community they are very strict about filling dented or outdated tanks.. I would prefer a new tank as for my needs

I ordered two cylinders, both of them were packed poorly and both exhibited damage during shipment. One had a dent in the side and the support ring on the bottom was bent. The other had the powder coating rubbed of from vibration. Zero internal packaging material was inside of the box other than a thin layer of bubble wrap around the tank. A little internal packaging material would have prevented all of the damage and would have not warranted replacement.

When I received this propane bottle it was not protected by nothing. Not a box, not a bag no protection at all. Just the bottle with two dents and the handle around the valve bent. I do not know if the valve got hit or not. Who would ship something like that with no protection.

I purchased these tanks as a backup for my travel trailer and dual fuel generator for when I go dry camping. I received 1 of 2 packages and still waiting on a single tank to be delivered. As soon as I had time I went and had the tanks filled. Got back home and I could smell propane coming from the truck bed. I tried tightening the bleed screw to make sure that wasnt the issue. I then went and got some soap and water to see if I could see it and I found it. Leaving from the top of the tank and now I am just wasting propane. I still want my tank but not one that is going to leak.

Unlike other stores Walmart.com hasn’t raised the price on this. This makes my second tank for my generator. 30 lbs. lets it run for about 12 hrs. It’s a 13Kw generator and I have a deep freezer and 3 refrigerators, 2 window shakers and a couple of fans with the tv (DIRECTV) all on. Probably a 35-40% load. And when I run out of propane it runs on gasoline. I will acquire more in the future or maybe go larger in size. These are pre-tested so you won’t have any issues when you get it filled.

Needed propane tanks for generator and Walmart had the best price.
