I bought these for dinner because I love Sam’s other Chinese products but this was just okay. It was super easy to make and the flavor was good. Just not sure how I feel about the taste of bacon in Chinese fried rice. It throws that authentic taste way off.

I’m so excited to see this back in the store! It’s in a difference box but make no mistake, it’s the exact same rice as the brand that was previously sold at Sam’s club. So good and such a quick and easy meal! You literally tear off a piece of the bag and microwave for 3 minutes but I recommend shortening the cooking time by about 15-30 seconds depending on the wattage of your microwave!

Got a freezer full of quick and easy stuff, since I can't cook like I used to. This is SO GOOD!!! I was prepared to add a few things, but decided to try it first. The flavor is very good, I love that it comes portioned. It's a nice little meal or late night snack.

This tastes NOTHING like chicken fried rice. The flavor from the bacon took over and it's just smokey flavored rice with other textures. It reminds me of a southern dish or something. Also...who adds BACON to chicken fried rice? I've never heard of that. Yes. Bacon is good, but it doesn't belong in this dish.

This chicken fried rice would have been really good. However, the bacon essence in it, ruined the recipe for me. I say essence, because i didnt see any actual bacon in it. This is not a good idea or combination. Not a true fried rice if you are looking for the same as what you would eat at a restaurant or take out. If the bacon would have been excluded, it would have been great. Would not purchase again.

The rice itself is has good flavor. The dealbreaker is the gristley so-called chicken. Had to spit out. I used to buy these years ago (easy to take to work and nuke for 3 min). I stopped getting it back then when I started getting gristle in the chicken. (Same reason I won't buy stouffers dinners with chicken). I tried these again this week seeing the different package I thought was new. Nope--just the same. Great rice, unchewable chicken.

I have only made it on the stove so can’t comment on the results after microwaving, but after cooking on stove it’s not a bad meal. It’s definitely not heavily seasoned, but it’s easily doctored up with some teriyaki and hoisin sauce. Is it as good as fried rice in the restaurant? No, but it’s better than most frozen meals. It’s a quick dinner that’s affordable.

I never write reviews but I figured I would for this. Maybe it’s just me but it literally tastes like someone mixed the taste of hot dogs with rice. The taste isn’t bad per say, but I was not wanting Asian chicken fried rice that tastes like jambalaya. My daughter loves rice and hotdogs, but even she wasn’t amazed by it. Won’t be buying again.

We were buying the fried rice and LOVED it when they stopped carrying the plain fried rice and started selling the chicken fried rice. I assumed it would taste the same except with chicken and if I didn't want the chicken the pieces could be removed. I was wrong. It does not have a similar flavor at all. I have started giving bags of it away to our kids and their friends. I am very disappointed. I am even more disappointed that the original fried rice isn't being sold.

I'm glad everyone is delighted. But each packet has about an ounce of meat, 10-15 peas, a table spoon of super small carrots, and an 1/8 of an egg. Basically, look at it as flavored rice. I am enjoying these.... But only by adding chicken, frozen peas and carrots mixture and frying up an egg. then and only then does it look like the picture. ;)
