Came well packaged and with everything listed. Was very easy to put together and up. It's very sturdy. I have three dogs that love to jump and push off. This sticks where you put it and it's tall enough for them to not jump over. The slots are small enough so animals like puppies cannot squeeze through. It takes a little bit to get used to the door opening one way, but I love it. I'm a big woman(around 270lbs) and I don't know why other larger people on here are complaining. I fit through the gate fine. I'd recommend getting this if you have dogs who like to jump or kids that like to climb.

Got this for my high energy larger breed dog to keep him away from roommate's cat who live in front half of apt. Great bc he cant jump it and I can easily walk through. Not too difficult to set up, though instructions arent the best. No tools needed beyond screwdriver. Can be taken down and moved to a new doorway. Should do only minimal damage to walls/doorway (just small holes) And the price of this compared to others was considerably lower yet it is extra high and sturdy. A great buy.

I loved this gate but realized it was to small in entrance way walking through if you are a big person this gate is not recommended. they do come in extra wide and are perfect I haven't seen the extra wide on Walmart site but I did find them elsewhere and purchased 3 and Love em. don't get me wrong just I am a bigger lady with a belly and it didn't work out well until I bought the wide ones, wish Walmart would carry them same brand just wider entrance opening to walk through. Oh and it is easy assemble on all these types gates.

We needed an extra tall gate with narrow gaps between the bars to keep a small cat (8 lbs.) from entering our bonus room when guests were staying over - and this miracle of a gate did the trick! It is simple to install, easy to operate, and - positioned at the top of a staircase - it's too tall for our cat to jump over and the bars are too narrow for her to squeeze through. There are not many gates out there that pass the cat test, so we're super-duper happy we found this one! The only cons don't really apply to our situation, but here they are: 1) gate door is relatively narrow so it may be tough for some large people or items to pass through it easily, and 2) the pressure mounts work well for keeping a cat at bay, but for larger dogs or toddlers you may need to screw it into the wall. Two more pros worth mentioning: 1) solid construction - it doesn't feel cheap, and 2) open/close mechanism is easy to operate!

I have owned 2 of these for more than 3 years now. I bought them after adopting my 90 lb pup after I found out the hard way had separation anxiety (he ate my kitchen chair). Anyway, I held little hope of finding a gate that could contain this guy, but I gave this one a shot, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Its sturdy. My dog is now 150 lbs and these gates can still contain him, although his behavior is much better and I don't use them as often - they are still installed on my doorways though. If he was really motivated he might be able to jump it, but fortunately he hasn't figured that out. They have plastic 'cups' that screw into your door frame (I used longer screws than the ones provided) and the plastic ends of the gate screw into these cups at 4 points (2 top, 2 bottom). The gate can stay mounted on your doorway and you walk in and out of the gate's door, or you can remove the gate altogether in less than a minute, leaving just the 4 little plastic cups in your door frame. When the gate is closed it has a spring mechanism that you have to slide first in order to pull up on the unlock handle. A little tricky but doable with one hand. It doesn't close automatically. The door of the gate could be a little wider, but I'm so used to it now I don't even notice it until I have to lift a laundry basket over it. If he paws at the door, he can flex it a little open towards the bottom, but not enough to get out, and it hasn't bent. Overall, a lifesaver for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this gate so we can keep our toddlers out of certain rooms in the house. This gate is really tall and even my dogs cant jump it. The only thing i wish it had was self closing door i have to open it and turn around and lock it.

The height of this gate is why I bought it because my 2 year old son can climb over every gate in the house. I wanted him to be safe and this gate did the job. It would be nice if the locking mechanism was a little harder to open so he doesn't figure it out but other then that I found it works well and was fairly easy to install. I was very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

I was really shocked at how tall this gate really was, but we love it. I used it in the doorway to my toyroom that leads into the kitchen. I run my own daycare and was concerned about this doorway because all my little ones love to try and hang out with me in the kitchen, and I am not graceful while I am cooking. This way it is tall enough for them to look through and not short enough for them to try and climb over it. Our Beagle puppy doesn't like it so much since she figured out she can jump things. Works great for us as a family, daycare and a pet owner. Love it! Highly recommend it! The only downfall is you have to screw it into the wall, but I have over looked that now that we have used it and has helped us out having it!

I've tried numerous gates, but was disappointed in all, but this one. I used to have to climb over previous ones and they all broke after little use. It looks nice and I am so pleased. I would recommend this gate to anyone...very easy to set up. unlike other reviews I've read...stays up very well without bolts and screws. I would feel safe having it for a child although I'm using it for a pet.
