Bought this gate to keep larger dog and smaller dogs apart. Works great for that. Larger dog doesn't try to jump on it and smaller dogs cannot fit between the bars( 4 pound toy poodles). Single hand opening is very useful. The gate is equipped with a tamper latch that prevents the larger dog from accidently opening. For the price unit is very well constructed. Since I have dogs the black color is great. The gate is shipped with four cups that you can attach to the door facing and keep animals or small children from pushing the gate down.

I like how tall this gate is and it looks nice but the installation is the problem. There are screws with flat rubber pieces at the end. These pieces just slide into a hole on the sides of the gate and that makes them just wobble around in the hole. (Mine are about 2 inches out on each side) and luckily my dogs or baby haven’t learned to just push and pull it really hard or I’m sure they would break it. If there were threads it would be great cause it would hold it down. We almost returned it but we can’t find anything this all at a reasonable price.

I bought this gate to use for my two small dogs. One is a dachshund, the other is a dachshund mix. I had previously bought multiple gates, all of which weren't high enough (the mix breed dog can jump REALLY high, especially for being so small). This one is perfect height and neither of them are able to escape. It's great for anytime I'm out of the house or at work. And wasn't difficult to install!

This gate is used to keep my Mother from accidentally falling down stairs. It is a good deterent and bolts into the wall (not tension) so it has a little more support. The gate part is a little narrow for any big guests coming to visit..but we manage for the safety of Mom. The gate is tall and much better than baby or pet gates for our purpose. I accepted ownership of a dog that was being neglected by being left out on an apartment patio day and night, barking his head off, from the time he was a pup. While I am at work he and my first dog stay in the first bedroom with the doggie door. When I come home I let them out into the rest of the house. Then I started seeing the telltale signs this little boy was marking his territory. Tried various training methods, even had my living room area boxed off like a fort! Finally I said, this is my house and I am taking it back! With this gate in the doorway the dogs can see out but can not get out. My house is mine again!!!! I like the height of the gate also as it is at waist height and I don't have to bend down to open and close as I am coming or going. Feels very sturdy and will last many years. Whoopee!!!!!!!

Ordering was easy. The items came a day earlier than originally. It was very easy to install. The gates are sturdy. I bought the gates to contain the dog's in the kitchen when not home. Does a great job for that. Soon they will be used to prevent the twins from falling down the stairs.

I bought this gate in hopes that my papillon would not jump the gate. However, it is for dorways that are 29" and over and that was not listed in the description. My doorway is 28". Also the spokes are far enough apart that he could easily squeeze through the opening between the gate opening permanent part of the gate. Perhaps this might be good for larger dogs. I returned it and purchased a different baby gate that works wonderfully. The new gate also opens both ways.

Had to add wood on each side of door facing for strength ( screws too long) to make it work
