This gate is used to keep my Mother from accidentally falling down stairs. It is a good deterent and bolts into the wall (not tension) so it has a little more support. The gate part is a little narrow for any big guests coming to visit..but we manage for the safety of Mom. The gate is tall and much better than baby or pet gates for our purpose. Not a bad price either. Thanks WalMart

I bought this product to keep my dog out of the kitchen. it is too tall for her to jump over but she is able to see me. which i think she likes since she sits there and stares at me. I am 5 ft 5 and the gate comes to my rib cage. I sometimes babysit a 3 and 5 yr old. the gate is as tall as the 3 yr old and he hasnt figured out how to open it. the 5 yr old has. The only down fall on the product it the width of the gate. We can fit threw fine but if you have to carry something you have to lift it up over the gate. After seeing this at our home my brother in law is buying on for their 1 yr old to keep her out of harms way. they love coming here and being in the kitchen and knowing while we are cooking the baby is safe in the next room and we can see her.

It is better then I imagined! So easy to install! I CAN open it ith one hand although other reviews said that they could not. Other reviewers said they could not close the door with it in place, I can...I have a door with a handle and not a knob, perhaps thats why. It is amazing! I only wished I had gotten it sooner!

I have 3 big dogs that can easily jump over the standard height baby gates. This one is tall enough that they stay put. You can use the pressure only, but it will slide out if it is pushed on. The holders that screw in the wall must be used if baby or dogs are going to lean against it. It is metal, so no worries about it breaking like the smaller wood ones, also nice since dogs can't chew it up.

This gate is beautiful and should be tall enough to thwart Nana dog from going into the kitchen and scrounging around when I am gone. A couple of tips: The bottom part of the gate is about one inch above the floor, so I am having to get used to stepping over the bottom gate bar every time I go through the doorway.. Also, in the instructions it says it is not necessary to use the end caps that go over the threaded screws in a doorway. Not true. It was simply not possible to get the gate firmly enough in the doorway without the caps. Nevertheless, the gate is extremely easy to mount. Simply put the threaded screws into the gate holes, tighten them up, screw the caps into the door frame, and attach to the threaded screws, and you're done.

Gate is nice and sturdy, made of steel instead of plastic. Imagine that, something made of steel and not plastic. Unheard of these days. Like everything about it. Just wondering why 3 of the holes the pressure pins goes in are not threaded but the 4th hole is????? We put up the gate going into the laundry room where our dog stays when we are out. Easy to operate, no complaints.

I needed this gate because it is the tallest one I can find on the market. I have a cat and I'm moving in with a roommate with two dogs, one of which is a jumper. I read great reviews about this gate stopping large dogs, such as huskies and german shepherds so I wanted to give it a try. As someone previously mentioned, if you tighten the screws to fit in the door frame, the gate itself won't open. In order to open the gate, you have to loosen the screws, but then you run into the problem of it not being stable and it can be easily pushed down by a 40-lb dog. As reference, I'm using it for an area that is 30in wide, so it's well within the range of this gate. I'm going to try mounting it with screws into the door frame to see if that will fix the problem.

This gate was purchased for use in our church nursery doorway. It is sturdy...the height is wonderful for being out of reach of tiny hands. The walk-through gate is easy to use and it can lock securely. We are now installing one on the older toddler's classroom.

this gate has made it possible to put my five year old daughter in her room at night. she would come out all hours of the night waking her sister and myself up. this gate has made it possible to keep her in her room without putting her safety at risk. this gate is an answer to many sleepless nights.

I was extremely disappointed and upset for wasting my time and money with this gate! There is a large space where the gate opening mechanism should connect with the latch so it cannot latch and the bolts for the pressure mount kit is too small so it cannot work. HORRIBLE!!!
