Life changing! Backyard Discovery makes such a great product that one pergola was not enough! We bought two! We feel like we have added on an entire room to our home! We have already created so many memories here and plan for many more. Have I mentioned how well made both pergolas were? Not one issue, just perfect!

I wanted to use a Pergola for my Outdoir Patio. Wanted some shade but not too much. Backyard Discovery SOMERVILLE was a perfect fit and I love the barnwood stain color. The electricity hookup feature is an added bonus. At night the stringed lights we added give a warm, soft glow.

We love our pergola and it is very sturdy and functions really well in our backyard. The power outlets are a huge plus! Great quality and my husband assembled it completely alone (I wouldn’t recommend that but he’s stubborn and wanted to prove a point). 2-3 people is probably ideal to complete it efficiently. It also holds a 50 ft rope of string lights nicely.

It has a electrical outlet so I can plug in lights ,margarita machine... I had the company assemble it and was done within 2 hours. They were wonderful. Every day after work I spend about 3 hours there enjoying it! My only regret is not getting it SOONER! If u like it on website, you will love it in your yard. YOU WONT REGRET IT! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I ordered this a few months ago. we put it together over a few days taking our time and care. extremely well made. We then decided to mount the posts on concrete footers and then decided to place a natural stone floor to allow gas grill and furniture, etc. We are almost done but winter has slowed us until spring. Pictures attached. Very excited about completing our project.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really enjoy our purgola. It is is very sturdy and heavy. We have a lot of wind here in South Dakota, but have no concerns about it blowing over. Assembly was not too difficult, but recommend three or four people to help.

I purchased this Pergola to give my backyard a specified space for my patio gathering area. The pergola took my nephew about 4 hours to assemble. There were a couple of boards that were scratched from delivery. I called customer service and they immediately offered me a touch up stain. Two of the boards had a split and they sent out replacements ASAP! Not only is the product prefect for my space but the customer service was the BEST I have encountered.

I would say this was a near perfect pergola! There were a few issues though so I can't give it five stars as much as I want to. It took me and my 21 year old son about a total of 5 hours to put this together. One thing I would change in the instructions is to build the sides so all four posts are attached, then put it in it's final resting place *before* putting on all the cross beams. This is not exactly light at this point and can only imagine how heavy it would have been had we built it all the way then moved it. Some of the 2x6 cross beams had a slight twist them which caused the 2x2 beams to miss their pre-drilled holes. Fortunately the 2x6's didn't crack while attaching the 2x2's. Speaking of the 2x2's, this is one of the reasons it did not get five stars. A number of them were warped. Because we bossed them around, we were able to get them on mostly straight though. Then the hardware. For the most part, the hardware was great! The cement screws were a joke. I pre-drilled into my cement (have to use a hammer drill) and the bit I used was 5/32" but I still couldn't get them to go in. I guess I should have used a bigger bit? I am glad that each pack of hardware came with two extras since as you can see from the attached picture, one screw had no threads, one bolt had no threads as well was bent, and another bolt was bent beyond usage. Overall, I'd recommend this. It does definitely take two people to build and did go together as long as you follow the instructions and do not tighten any of the bolts until you've got it in place.

Ive always wanted a pergola and now my dreams came true. The Blue Oasis came alive with this great addition for outdoor shade, living, dining and events. Love the electrical outlets so I added add a TV and ceiling fan to make it a great outdoor living area. My friend bought him one after getting his concrete layed...I receive lots of compliments. Love love the

We are in arizona so its great for the yard plus gives us some shade when we put corrugated metal sheets over the top that look and work great. Two smaller pieces of wood were slightly damaged but the company sent them straight out to us with no argument so that was good. have to say it really makes the yard look brilliant plus it came with the power unit so we can run electricity to it and from there we have things running like a small sound bar for relaxing to. Its pretty easy to put together, we found assembling the main rafters first helped as we could do it indoors, the only thing is you need two people to help put it together outside with the posts. Also like the plastic bases for the posts to sit on so the water from when it rains doesn't rot the bottoms of them. FYI when they deliver it they just leave it on the driveway, you have to move it yourself and it comes in two boxes.
