I haven't had a chance to try it in an actual outage yet, but I tried it out of the box and it started right up with no problems. i tried both gas and propane and it worked perfectly. I connected it to the house and brought the load up to 8 KW. It ran smoothly and no flickering lights. We will have to see how it runs after an extended power outage but I don't foresee any issues. I bought the 9500DF a year ago as an emergency power supply. It arrived on time without a problem. It started right up and ran smoothly on propane with required power output. I ran it for about 30 minutes and then put it in storage for a year. When I got it out and tried it again it started right up again. I am pleased with this unit. I feel it will be ready when I need it.

We finally had to use our generator a few days ago, because of a prolonged power outage. It was more than satisfactory, generating the power required to keep our most important appliances running and helping to preserve hundreds of dollars of frozen goods.

I recently purchased this generator to replace my older outdated one, and right from the directions, through the set up and into the initial start up everything went smoothly. the unit runs like a charm, fairly quiet compared to my last one. I especially like the control panel which covers everything that the unit does, with read out and warning lights. Looking forward to years of service with this unit.

I was a little concerned with the condition the box arrived in and the damage to some of the bars on the one side of the generator, but after adding the oil and connecting the propane tank, this thing fired right up with no problems. The remote start is nice, just not sure how much use that will actually get. Im hoping this thing lasts for years, and it should based on my experience with another westinghouse generator.

I bought this generator with the hopes of never having to use it. Just 3 short weeks of purchasing. We had a wind storm that knocked out the electric for 3 days. The generator was a easy set up and ran the house like it should. Much better than the last time we lost power

Finally we got our hands into one after reading all the great reviews about it! Very sturdy and well built generator and I have no doubts it will last for years to come! No more pull start and love the one button start feature. Having the option to use both gasoline and propane is great. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and family!

I will admit I have not had a chance to fire it up yet but it is everything I thought it would be. Ease of set up, all the power I should need at this point, and if everything works correctly ( and I have no reason to believe it shouldn't ), it is an excellent purchase. Also arrived on time with no issues.

I bought this generator to power my home in case of a power outage and to use with our camper on an occasional off the grid camping trip. A week after receiving the generator, I completed a 3 hour trial, running my home off the generator. It performed wonderfully, supplying more than enough power to run all our essential items, including the well pump. If we have another power outage in the future, I feel at ease now, knowing we will have a suitable back up.
