I love the electric start. Remote start is nice but I don't know if I'll ever use it. I plan to keep the generator inside and roll it out to run and connect. Sadly a decent transfer switch is nearly the cost of the generator. More if I have to pay for installation.

I bought it because here in Florida we’re going into the hurricane season and I wanted to install a 50 amp in my house so I am able to power most of my house. I love it because I can run either propane or gas. I have already tested it, and I was able to run most of my house with the exception of the second floor AC. I do recommend a product you will not go wrong.

We were in the market for a generator that was capable of powering our home in the event of a power outage. This generator has all the features I was looking for and some I didn't know existed. The remote start is awesome and even works from inside the house with the generator in the back yard. I didn't expect that. Setup was simple. It started right up. No issues.

I purchased the generator in February, but did not open it until April. Was very pleased to find the generator well packaged. All parts were enclosed. I had been looking for a generator for a while, especially since our last power outage. After reading reviews for a few different brands & models, I decided on the Westinghouse 9500DF. Actual customer reviews and videos are what I base a lot of my purchases on and everything was/is 5* for this generator. The features stand out and I love the ease of charging the battery, switching between fuel sources, etc. I dread being without power, but look forward to using it!

Just bought and haven’t yet had a power outage, but have tested and everything works great! Easy to move with the wheels, despite the generator’s weight. Love that we can keep a few propane tanks handy and be ready to quickly get the generator running.

It's basically a good generator, but came with some problems. It was a brand new generator out of the box. The 4-stroke engine ran fine, but there was no power coming out of the 120V AC outlets. It did not matter what 120v appliance/device you plugged into the outlets. The main breaker was not tripped. The individual circuit breakers at the outlets were not popped out. I turned the whole generator on and off a few times without any attached load but there was no change. I even pressed the red button on the side of the outlet case with the possibility that this is a reset. No change. The display on the Data Center said it was producing 242 volts at a frequency of 62 hertz. [This indicates it still had it's residual electromagnetic field.) Basically, the Data Center showed the generator was producing voltage, but that voltage was not reaching the outlets. After more investigation, I found the cause of the problem. Both 120V GFI outlets came tripped from the factory. I reset them and got 120V across the hot & neutral on all four outlets now. I also got 120V from each hot to neutral on the 30A & 50A outlets. Hopefully, this review might help someone else who encounters this problem.

Purchased the generator in case of power outages this winter in Texas. Unit had most of the features I desired. Added oil and fuel, fired right up. Break in period not fully completed as of this review. Have only operated unit for 1 hour under a light load according to user manual. Have been pleased so far with operation of generator.

Solid feeling and good looking piece of machinery. Unpacked and assembled in less than 10 minutes. Haven't tried gas yet, but started right up with propane, delivering great power. The instructions if you try to follow aren't perfect specific to battery connection (it's actually mostly done and easier than instructions state). It is loud, but what I had expected for the power this thing provides. It's brand new but very happy with the purchase.
