Did my due diligence and there was no doubt that this generator was the right purchase. Low inventory confirmed that many others had come to the same conclusion as I. I was lucky to find one only 1 1/2 hours away and I happily drove to pick it up. Unit has all the features that I needed at a very competitive price. I easily did the installation of legs and wheels son positionning it in the desired location a breeze. Can't wait for the next extended power outage to put this great unit to work. My son in law bought a small generator during a power outage and had to run the refrigerator and window air conditioner in shifts. For a little more I equipped my home with the Westinghouse 9500 and am able to power most everything during a power outage. The remote start, alternate fuel source and multiple outlets make using it family friendly usage for all.

Simple set up, Started 1st try with Remote Start, Dual fuel option is very convenient, 50amp plug is perfect for whole home power to include running a 4 ton A.C. start up, utilizing an Micro Air Easy Start to lower start up amps. Good investment for peace of mind plus 3yr warranty, makes for an excellent purchase to be ready for ERCOT rolling blackouts.

Out of the box, everything was fastened securely and all the parts needed for the minor assembly were included. Out of the box, everything works as advertised! Included was the best owner/operator manual I have seen. In common english and no awkward words or phrasing from translations.Tells what to do but also why.

Just purchased and tested the generator. Love the dual fuel option. Especially if you want to avoid gasoline sitting in your tank and going bad. For short duration outages, or short work I plan to use the propane to keep gasoline from going bad and gumming up the carburetor. For longer use, when I know I'll run the generator through lots of fuel, I'll use gas. Haven't had time to use it much. Will try to update the review if I have any problems in the future. But, it has great features and lots of power! Looking forward to backing up my house when the power goes out.

Bought this in the middle of major ice/snow storm that left us without power for a week. Great product, easy setup, started on first attempt. Great features with electric/remote/manual start options. Product seems well built and Great option for dual fuel usage. Thankful for the peace of mind this has and will provide moving forward.

This generator is everything I was looking for and more! I was not sure I would use the remote start feature. But it sure beats getting out of bed in the cold to kick that thing on in the morning when camping off the grid in the mountains. Well made, not a plastic control panel backing! I am impressed so far. It was more than I expected. If it last as long as I hope, I will only buy Westinghouse generators going forward.

The 9500 dual fuel gen set arrived in excellent condition. The manual and set up papers were comprehensive, an enabled even the person with a limited mechanical knowledge to set up & run this machine. The Hz / volt meter/ Hr meter was a very useful feature. The addition of "key fob" remote starting was a novel feature for an outdoor gen set. Starts quick! an all around good-running & looking machine!

Bought the unit a couple months ago. Followed break in etc. At about 60 hours it started randomly shutting off. Now, it usually takes at least a half dozen attempts to do more than come up to voltage/speed and die...assuming it gets running, it randomly shuts off...maybe 5 minutes, maybe 30 - either way it is a real PITA.

I've been studying and researching generators for months, and found that the Westinghouse WGen9500DF is by far the best all-around generators made. Not only is it duel-fuel but it also offers the switch plate along with other convenient bells&whistles which make this generator super consumer friendly for the common family to use and rely on.
