I recently bought this after hurricane Laura because of how long we were without power. I did my research and I think you are getting a lot for your money with this generator. This company has been around for several years, so they have to be doing something right. Hopefully next time we are without power, my family and I will be ready!

The builder of our home pre-installed an exterior access point for generators to connect to the power main. I wanted a portable generator with enough power to power most, if not all, of the house. I chose this model because of its 50 amp output and dual fuel capability. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow, in well-written English. Assembly, by myself, took less than a half hour.

The battery was DOA and will not charge and not hold a charge. Once its started its good but not the easiest to start with the pull cord. Very frustrating as my dad is 80 and not able to use the remote start or the push button. We need to ask the neighbor to start it for him. Once running, it has lots of power. Hope WH will help with the batt issue

I purchased this generator on March 28, 2021 and it was delivered on April 9, 2021. Considering my order involved LTL shipping via truck from Ohio (I'm in Texas) that wasn't too bad. Today I finished setting it up and ran it using both Propane and Gasoline. The remote electric start is simply incredible. This is my 2nd generator. The first one I bought from one of the big box retailers and the engine had t be replaced after only about 50 hours of use. This Westinghouse unit is so far superior to that other one, I can't even believe the difference. I'm not looking forward to another emergency situation where we have to use a generator again... but I am so much more confident now that I have this Westinghouse unit. LOVE IT!!

Bought this a week ago and the rain finally quit to try it out. Starts great, runs great and runs my whole house when I need it know, and probably will. Where I am the main power goes out on a regular basis, but now I won’t have to worry with my new generator!

It come complete with everything, Well documented manual, Oil, Funnel, Wrench for spark plug. Easy assembly had together in 15 minutes. Put gas in it and it started right up. I like the key fob that you can start and shut down from fob and you don't need to be insight of the generator. Also I like how quite it is. My son was over and now he is buying one for his house.

We recently moved to a rural area and have been experiencing power outages on a fairly regular basis. They generally don't last more than a couple hours or so, but during below zero temps even a couple hours is a concern. Having a generator became a priority, and after some research the 9500 seemed a no-brainer. Fortunately the previous owner had wired for a generator, so all we had to do was plug it in. Within a couple weeks of installation the power went down, and mere minutes later we were back up and all was well. It's a great feeling knowing that if, for whatever reason, we lose power that we'll have it back on in moments and this 9500 will provide as much power as we need without a problem. One note: If it's cold out you'll have to manually move the chock to its fully closed position. It wasn't that cold (probably well above freezing) the first time I hooked it up for a test, and I assumed, since it was relatively mild out, that the automatic choke would set itself to start the engine. I made several attempts to start the generator without success and then remember a note about setting the chock manually. I set it, and the generator fired immediately. I seriously doubt one could do better than this generator in its class, especially for the price. We couldn't be happier with it.

My wife and I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a generator, as we have gone through prolonged power outages the past few years. After a great deal of research, we decided on the Westinghouse WGen9500DF. It has all the power we would need and also has outstanding features. The remote start is a great addition that my wife especially likes. This model also had outstanding reviews from other users. The wheels are large and were easy to put on. It is a bit heavy, but the large wheels and transport handle make it easy to move from one location to another. Of course, we hope we never need to use it, but we are glad for the peace of mind in case we do.

Purchasing a generator is quite a learning experience if you don't know much. The generator was the easy part, I knew I wanted dual fuel and something that can run the major items in my home. This generator was a great fit. I had it up and running in about 30 min with gas. I will update the post when I can test with the propane.

Did reviews and ordered this unit 5 days ago. Arrived this morning with two helpful and happy delivery men into my garage. Followed quick set up directions for putting wheels on, adding fuel and oil - 10 minutes max. Hooked up propane line and tank then added gasoline to tank. Turned over a few times but would not start on gas…(duh) I forgot to choke on initial gas start up - moved choke to full choke and unit fired right away . Turned off choke and unit remained running - let run on gas for 5 minutes then toggled fuel switch to propane, switch went well and continued to run on propane for 5 additional minutes. Everything was as advertised. Have not hooked to house yet but expect no issues as everything so far worked or was included remote key fob worked, oil funnel, assembly tools, wheels and propane line.
