What a great generator. After years of going through storms and Hurricanes here in South Texas, enough was enough. Hurricane Beryl, loss of power for days, loss of all refrigerated items and the shear uncomfortableness of no ac, I bought the Westinghouse 9500watt duel fuel. It does not disappoint. Can run just about my whole house on either gas or propane. Love it.

Bought this generator to use with our new home which has a transfer switch for some circuits. I chose this model because of the Dual Fuel option. Fortunately, we haven't had a power disruption, but this well made generator gives us peace of mind that when it's needed, it will be ready to go.

Purchased this back on May 2021 to replace my old generator and this thing is a beast. It met all my requirements. The only thing i noticed with it is getting it started for the first time. But after a few minutes it fired right up. Love the idea of it having a remote start for it and it works great.

I just picked this up 3 days ago - I have tested it with a freezer and small drill to make sure it worked, hope it works well for my whole house if I need it. Seems to be well made and thought through. It did need a little extra oil - was not shipped with quit enough, but all good.

So the good first. My electrician ran a 50 amp breaker and tied it into the whole house. I thought I would need to select important ones and set it up that way. He said no this should run your whole house providing you don't go crazy meaning use a little common sense and not overdo it. So of course me being the procrastinator that I am I didn't set up the generator until the power went out. The set up is pretty easy and I got the thing up and running. I went inside turned the main breaker off. Started the generator went back in and through my 50 amp breaker on and we were in business. It ran for 2.5 hours until the power went back on. To my way of thinking I won't store gasoline for the generator. First thing I did was run the generator on propane to get it going. If I thought this was to be a long outage I would have went and bought gasoline also. Everything ran perfect on propane the heat, lights, two refrigerators freezers so I was very pleased with the performance. Now for the bad. There is no reason I can think of to have the 50 amp outlet on the generator impeded by the unfortunate placement of the wheel. The 50 amp extensions cord is very thick and was in the garage which made it very difficult to plug into the generator. So difficult that I wound up breaking a little piece of the outlet by the ground lug. I don't see it being a problem holding the cord in place but I would love to get it repaired and would also like a response from WH ( that's Westinghouse not the White House) I still give the generator 4 stars although it could have been lower because of this. Therefore, if you have a 50 amp extension cord that comes down on the angle which I believe most will because of the shear weight of the cord you actually have to bend the cord between the wheel and the generator to plug it in. now that I think about it 4 stars is for sure generous because of this problem. I posted a picture and the top slot is the ground slot and that's the one that is broken although it looks pretty normal it's now larger because I chipped it because of the difficulty plugging in.

I was going to buy another brand generator. Saw some reviews and videos' for the Wgen9500DF. Bought one delivered in less than a week. Nice delivery person got it on my porch as i was not home and wife was. Took out of box followed directions.Half hour later up and running. Started first try tested running well pump. preformed perfectly. would reamend if you are looking for a solid generator this is it

I just received this about a week ago. Quickly put this together in about 30 minutes. Started it up using Propane. 3 Tries with AutoStart which is normal. There were some reviews about the noise. Coming from an older generator, this generator is much quieter. The engine sounds smooth, with no puttering. The wheels are a nice size but using a 50 amp plug, you can barely get it plugged in. I am having an electrician upgrade my house connection from a 30 amp to a 50 amp. The oil they give you doesn't seem to be enough to get the oil level to a mid-level. Nevertheless, very impressed and I will upgrade my review after I have used it for a while. I would highly recommend this product. Seems well built and solid.

Bought it as a backup generator so I haven't used it yet other than testing it. I am a tech for a propane company and have seen a lot of propane engines. We use them for compressors. This is the easiest starting, smoothest running propane engine I have used yet other than a larger permanent gens. The only negative thing I can say is that the propane hose is short and that the regulator was set at 17.2 inches water column. Normally 14 inches is a max. This unit is also louder than I expected but not terrible.

I just bought this a few weeks ago preparing for hurricane season; I have not had a need to use it yet. It started right up, and I ran it today for a bit with a light load on it and it didn't blink at all so I have confidence it will do well when needed to handle a larger load. Assembly was simple, just the wheels and feet. Its output, three startup options, and ability to run on gasoline or propane led to my choosing this model.

My first generator and I like it! Once I get my transfer switch, the generator will be connected to my house and only then the full power will be revealed! So far, so good, as I've tried it with gasoline and propane and it works as it should, but the noise it makes is significant...I will be ordering a 75ft. extension cable to cope with that. Overall high quality built generator!
