I bought this generation after a power outage recently. The generator appears well built and is extremely easy to operate and start. The push start and included fob is great which my wife really likes. I compared several other bands and settled on the 9500 Westing house based on features and price.

This generator has everything you could ask for, and a lot of extras to make it easy. Not only does it have an electric push button start which is nice so you don’t have to reef on a pole cord but it also has a fob so you don’t even have to go out into the weather to start it up when it’s storming out.

While it hasn't been needed yet, we are glad it is here for piece of mind, as we do get quite a few power outages, where we live. It went together quickly, and easily, and started easily. The remote is awesome. Couldn't be more pleased. We are confident it will give us many years of service.

I live in upstate forest of New York where power loss is often and recovery is long. Our old GE standby generator broke down in August and we could not find a replacement tille 2021. It snows a lot and the temperature drops below freezing all winter. I found this Westinghouse backup generator and install it without any issue. The unit is well designed and it works well to provide power when we need it. It runs on dual fuel so we more choices of supply. I recommend that any one lives away from city to buy one. It may save life when needed someday.

I haven't had a chance to try it in an actual outage yet, but I tried it out of the box and it started right up with no problems. i tried both gas and propane and it worked perfectly. I connected it to the house and brought the load up to 8 KW. It ran smoothly and no flickering lights. We will have to see how it runs after an extended power outage but I don't foresee any issues. Well packaged. Arrived undamaged and ready to work. Only minor complaint is the nuts welded to frame for installing the mounting feet weren't aligned perfectly with the holes. Snapped one of these nuts off tightening the bolt and ended up using a separate nut and lock washer. Had to slightly file down the other holes to prevent the other nuts from snapping off.

Purchased when power was out for extended period. Unit is very nice, works great only three hours on it. I like the dual fuel (Propane) no mess with gas. However I would like to see accessories with this unit. i.e. propane hose to tank. I had to purchase one. No cord with unit as many units come with 30 amp cords or plug boxes etc. I spent hours looking for a propane hose because of the flared fitting. So far everything works very well as for operations etc I give it a five, as for set up a three and value I give it a two. I am very satisfied with unit and would recommend buying but could have more accessories to get you going out of the box.

I bought this a couple months ago when our other generator wouldn’t start after a couple days with no power. Was delivered prompt on y and in good condition. We had our home finally wired for the generator. Works great not sure why we didn’t purchase this sooner.

Love the fact that I can start this gen with the push of a button, either on the unit, or by using the remote key fob. My shoulders and back are super happy about this feature. I also like the fact that I have the choice of either propane, or gasoline, to power this unit. Add the power of 9,500 watts to the mix, and I can run my whole house with no worries about overtaxing the unit. Super happy with my purchase, highly recommend!

I bought this unit to replace the exact same model that I purchased in 2022 that was ruined during the flooding of Hurricane Milton in early Oct. 2024. This unit has a CO safety shutoff which the older model did not and quite frankly the sensor shuts the generator down excessively and the motor backfires upon restarting. The generator is located on our dock in the open air and CO is not a concern. I wish I had the old model back!
