The WestGen9500DF was very easy to assemble. It was also at our location a day prior. I have not fired it up yet however, it is made in the US of America and I'm excited of that and not supporting the China. The Gen looks great! I will write another review when I test run it. Easy to assemble Footings and wheel. One footing nut may have hadd paint on the treads. Initially I thought I may have cross threaded the bolt. But the nuts are welded to the frame and then painted so I think there may have been paint. We slightly difficult to identify the actual choke lever. There is a nice size sign, but the actual lever was small and behind a fuel line. A little red paint on the choke lever handle would have helped. I like the controlled start. After pushing the start button, the unit tries multiple times automatically to start. I just wait for it to finally fire up. I intentionally overloaded the unit to see what it would run. We are all electric and on a well so use lots of power. We could run the well, water heater, lights, electronics and two space heaters. We could not include the house electric heat but that was expected. One concern when overloading is the breaker did not trip, but the unit bogged down and shut off. I would expect the main breaker on the generator to trip before the unit engine overloaded and shutdown.

Picked up this generator to have handy for any unforeseen events. Chose Westinghouse because of the features on this particular model (WGen9500DF), it's reviews, and it's capabilities. The unit arrived fairly quickly and in good shape. Everything was packaged well and it included a host of accessories to get you up and running quickly. Decided to fire it up on propane for the first time and it fired up quickly and easily. Looking forward to making use of it when the need arises. Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price.

I bought this on the 19th and it was delivered today 9-22-23. setup was easy and within 2 hours it was running. However, no power at any of the outlets. Called customer service, on hold for 17 min. and then rep. comes on and tells me it will be 12 to 24 hours before anyone can get back to me. Really disappointed. "so much for the performance test" before it leaves the factory.

I needed a larger generator; this one meets my needs and more. I like the dual fuel option and many other features. The fold-down handle makes it easier to move, as this is a heavy item. I actually recommended this one to a friend only to find he had already purchased the same one a few months ago. The only downside I have found is the noise level... it is rated at 74 dBA however it actually measures closer to 96 dBA.

I got this generator after the big Texas freeze in February 2021. After researching a number of large portable generators, the Westinghouse WGen9500DF was the undisputed winner for a number of reasons. It’s big (i.e., powerful) enough to run my whole house, including my 3.5 ton central AC unit. The power of this generator matches—even exceeds—the power of some standby generators! The dual fuel option is nice. Though it provides a little less power, I intend to use propane simply because, with propane, the gen will still meet my power demand. Propane is the cleaner fuel for the generator and is more environmentally friendly. It's also more conveniently stored than gasoline over an extended period of time. Although I can handle the recoil start, the electric start is a blessing. Plenty of outlets for plugging in power cables—each with its own circuit breaker. I intend to use the 50-amp outlet to feed my main breaker box. I haven’t set the gen up for use yet, but plan to have an electrician do it soon—we’re almost in the middle of hurricane season. I should add one more reason for opting for this generator: It has the name Westinghouse on it. Actually, that sums up all of the above!

Easy set up and started in like 2 seconds. Haven't had an outage to use it at full capacity, but looks like it will do the job I need, such as running household necessary things like a small AC, lights, fridge, freezer etc. Moves around easily, and the dual fuel will really be a great help. Seems to be a great product. Actually, I hope I never have to use it at any length, but that is an unrealistic thought as we have power outages from storms etc.

One of my neighbors has one of these and he recommended it. This is an excellent generator, well made, great features, and puts out 9500 running watts on gas. Switching back and forth between fuels is seemless. It starts and runs well on either type of fuel. Provides 50amp service, which makes running most electric home appliances possible (water heater, electric stove, etc.). I would highly recommend it.

I just received it and got it setup and running in 30 minutes. Started right up no issues and apparently the remote was pre programmed so no issues with that. I ran the propane with no problem which is primarily the reason I bought it. Thus far seems to be fine.

First off, very well packaged and easy to assemble. Second is it has electric start with a remote. The thing I'm most impressed by is it actually puts out 244vac and not some cheap half voltage. I tested it out with a plug and homemade TS and it's definitely going to come in handy for power outages
