I have 4 generators in the gen. shack at my off-grid camp; I’ve had nothing but bad luck trying to keep them maintained and running. I finally had enough and search the internet for a solid portable generator with great reviews. My research pointed me to the Westinghouse WGen9500DFc. It was the right one for the purpose.

I was presently surprised how simple and user friendly it was to get this generator running. I love the convince of switching the fuels while running. also the entire generator is user friendly with controls and features located where they are readily reached.....built for convenience ! The folding handle is a great feature .

I purchased a Westinghouse generator after Hurricane Sandy. I didn't have a generator at that time. We lost electricity for almost one week. Thank God, our neighbor had a generator and sent us two electrical extension cords so we could run our essential appliances. Our Westinghouse generator started up every time we needed it. It is a workhorse. I purchased this generator to have another one that also runs on propane. I've recently set it up, and I can tell that it is another reliable generator. It starts right up and has many nice features. It is a blessing to have, since we have 7 grandchildren and several are babies, so we have peace of mind that we can generate heat in the winter, just in case. Thank God our Father and thank you Westinghouse!!!

I bought this generator to be ready for any kind of disaster or significant power outage in my area. This is an awesome generator! The 9500 dual fuel has plenty of margin to cover all of our emergency needs, and the ability to use two different but commonly available fuels during a disaster is invaluable. I highly recommend this generator!

Good, heavy, solid generator, a beast! I researched this unit for a month before I bought it, and so far it is all that was advertised. After putting the wheels on, I installed the oil (included) per the manual, reviewed all the startup procedures, and it fired up immediately with the electric start, as well as the included remote start 'key' fob. I tested a few small items--a space heater, some lights--and all worked perfectly. This generator charges the battery through the battery's cables, but the set also comes with a separate plug-in charger similar to a phone charger, and the battery can be charged from a separate source. As heavy as it is, this generator was not difficult to move around, as the wheels are situated under the heaviest part, and rolling it is similar to lifting a wheelbarrow. All in all, I'm not looking for another hurricane here in Florida, but I'll be ready if it happens.

Bought this for a what turned out to be a multi day power outage. Easy to assemble the few pieces that came in the box. Had a bit of trouble getting it to start but a quick shot of starter fluid fixed that. Used for about 2 days with absolutely no issues. Did the first oil change which was relatively simple with easy access to drain bolt. Was happy to find out unit was quieter than I expected as well.

What can I say? Set up was easy and straightforward, the generator started and delivered power right away (with No call to tech support) and, it arrived with NO missing pieces and in excellent condition. It is solidly built and I estimate it will serve my needs well.

I setup the generator today and the whole thing took me less than 30 minutes. The build appears to be sturdy/high quality, and I like that the exhaust is covered to avoid burns. Just a few hours in, but I look forward to using this over the weekend.

First impressions are that this is very well built. Easy set up and looks fantastic!! The remote start is super handy so you don't have to go out just to start up the generator. Having this come with a battery trickle charger is a huge bonus. Leave it plugged in when not in use and no worries about having a dead battery when you need it!

I bought this a month ago and just received this generator. Couldn't wait for it. Boxed up very nicely. Comes with oil, funnel, spark plug tool, wrench, and the wonderful key fab. I love how this is dual fuel. I plan on getting (2) 120 gallon propane tanks for a long run time. After I added oil, I hooked up the propane and pressed the start on the fab. Fired right up! Great looking too.
