I bought this generator after shopping around for weeks. I needed a generator for backup power on our ranch. If power goes down animals lives depend on it. I also needed a alternative power source for working in the fields. I love that this generator can handle a full 50 amps. That gives me alot of options. The assembly was very simple and quick. After last year's freeze. Having this generator has put my wife at ease. I wired in a plug to our breaker panel so we can easily plug it in and feed anything we need.

We bought this only recently, and have not tried it out yet. That being said, the unit looks great and has a lot of nice features (remote start, dual fuel, ample wattage). Only hiccup so far was an issue with the wheel installation. The one axle hole was too small, and the wheel couldn't go on. We eventually reached a service rep who told us this was an issue multiple customers were having, so they advised us to hit the axle pin with a hammer. (Not something we were going to do without their say so! Didn't want to void the warranty before we even used it...) Thankfully, this solution worked for us. Now we're just waiting for the electrician to hook us up with an outlet and an interlock kit, and we'll be good to go. Hoping we don't have to use it anytime soon, but are happy we have it on hand in case we do!

After a lot of research, I chose the WGen9500DFc. I compared to multiple brands and models. So far, I do not regret my purchase. Westinghouse has simplified the 1st use preparation and unit has worked well. Comes with a very good manual with the needed information for maintenance, as well.

So far so good. Easy to assemble but helps to have two people to install wheels because you have to tilt on side and then flip it over to other side. Runs well and nice to have remote. Waiting to get home hook up so only tried regular receptacle but well built.

The generator is well constructed making it easy to assemble (I did it alone) and easy to move by hand to the back of my house which is grassy terrain. It arrived on time and just before the big snowstorm. It came with three convenient starting methods: pull start, pushbutton start or FOB start. I charged the included battery and chose the pushbutton on the generator. It started immediately and settled into a very smooth operation with an immediate available 240 volt output. My son and I were very pleased with the simplicity of operation and the welded construction especially the sturdy handle bar that made it so easy to move.

My wife and I chose this generator because we wanted something to power just the necessities during power outages. We are limited by a 50 amp breaker so we had to choose something that wouldn't be too little to power what we demand and wouldn't be too big and expensive have more than we could even use. We have a manual transfer switch at the panel and an external hook up that runs through the 50 amp breaker. If I had to do it again I would have had an additional breaker installed so we could use the 30 amp that this generator could also supply. This generator also has the 2 110v outlets that you could supply something without going through the panel if needed depending on your demand. This is great midsize to large generator for our needs at a good price. We are excited to have this Westinghouse product.

I purchased this unit 3 weeks ago and finally tried it out today getting ready for any bad Florida weather coming my way. Followed the precise instructions to assemble and put in oil and fuel (used gas) connected the battery turned on switch and hit the start button and it started right up and connected power and worked great. Such a nice unit and even has remote start available. Will try a propane later , but know the unit starts up great and performs as advertized. Wow thanks Westinghouse for a great unit.

So far I am very pleased with this generator. I really like the many features particularly the dual fuel capabilities, the manual electrical connections and the 3 different starting options. It seems to be a well built machine and the price was reasonable.

Westinghouse WGen9500DF was delivered well packaged and in excellent condition. Put it together and had it running inside an hour; just follow instructions. One concern I would say is the 10W-30 oil provided was not enough to completely fill the generator. . This is a very nice machine and well built. Pulls the rated wattage (only ran gas so far). The generator was easy to start and runs much quieter than our current generator it replaced. Customer service is excellent, answering questions before purchase and after purchase concern we had with the quantity of oil provided. Customer service sent another bottle to top off the oil properly. So far I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Can’t wait to use it on our next power outage but hope it doesn’t come to soon!!

I bought this two weeks ago and I am extremely happy with my purchase. Spent a month researching generators and found the options on this model fit all my needs. This will provide my wife and myself peace of mind with the recent upward trends of Hurricanes and winter freezes like we've endured, even here in South Texas.
