I had been considering a home backup generator for several years. Looking over the list of compatable generators from my electric company, I was happy to see that Westinghouse was on the list. So I ordered the WGen9500DF and I'm very happy with it. When unpacking it, all of the parts were there, The instructions were simple and complete, the proper oil (with a funnel !) was included. There was also an exploded view of a replacement parts sheet. I can't tell you how many times I've delt with other products from companies who were not as complete and thorough. Thank you Westinghouse for making an excelent product and caring about your customers.

Bought this for a new home we are building and couldn’t be happier. This beast will power everything we need in case of emergency. The duel fuel capability eases my mind for those times I don’t have gas (or run out). The push button start, remote start capabilities and all of the available receptacles are spot on. This will serve me for many years to come. Defiantly would recommend this generator. No regrets.

I purchased this generator to supply power to our two livestock water wells during power outages. With hundreds of head of livestock, we cannot be without water for any period of time. The remote start allows me to keep power so water flows, as well as supply heat to the pump houses during freezing weather. Duel fuel allows me to keep the generator running because we store gasoline and propane and are not dependent on deliveries during bad weather events. Portability is essential.

Purchased this as a backup generator. Wanted one that would store without fuel in the tank. Ran it for several hours on propane without a problem. Starts easy. Remote seems like a gimmick to me, the battery switch must be on to use it, will probably never get used. Had to get this before my liberal governor banned them entirely.

Purchased this for a business as a backup power to run our primary IT equipment in case of power failure. The dual fuel is nice as we always have propane on hand for our forklift. It delivers plenty of power to keep our main network and few primary servers online in case of a power outage. The push button start and 50 amp twist lock make it quick and simple to start up and connect to our transfer switch to keep things running.

Just bought this Generator, due to seeing high reviews for it. Loved the fact that it is dual power, and portable. Living in Florida you really need one. And this one fits all my needs. Would recommend the 9500 dual power generator by Westinghouse to anyone needing one.

Purchased WGEN9500DF in Nov 2020. Ran on propane and gasoline without issue. When starting on gas open the gas shutoff vale and turn the engine control switch/battery disconnect to on. Wait a few moments for fuel to fill the carburetor bowl. This will improve the starting of the engine. When connected to the house panel it ran the high efficiency furnace and any UPS's that were connected were happy. The frequency was set to 62.5 Hz and I lowered to 61.5 Hz as I don't have any loads that will push the 9500 watts. The UPS's may not be happy with 62.5.

Bought this for backup emergency power and like the dual fuel option in case one type of fuel becomes hard to get.Tied it in to my 500 gal.propane tank with a quick disconnect and an interlock switch in my service panel.Havent needed to use it yet but I think it’s going to perform great.

Provides peace of mind that all the essentials and more are covered in the case of an outage. It's great that is can handle both gas and propane. Installation was fairly easy (~20 min), though I did try to pace myself due to the sheer weight of the thing so as not to accidentally crush a toe. Easy to roll around after installation because of the two big wheels and padded lifting bar.

I purchased this Generator because of the Westinghouse reputation in the area of Power Generation. If you can run a Nuclear power plant, there is probably a good chance make a good personal generator for home use in times of unplanned Power outages. The generator runs fantastic and the Key Fob allows remote Start and Stop activation. I bought this generator because it has plenty of power for its size, it has a 50amp plug, and the awesome REMOTE START. I removed the battery for winter storage, but removal of battery required the easy removal of the wheel caster before removal of bracket. I believe this generator is not that loud. I hear it outside my house very very low mostly because I have good insulation. It's sounds like a very very low hum from inside my house.
