I live in Florida and am a 62 year old widow. I bought this one to replace a large that was purchased years ago with my husband. It is a pull start and I don't have the strength to make it work. I purchase this one for the hurricane season and any other disasters that may happen. Looking forward to the ease of use. I'm in the process of having an electrician come out and install a transfer switch.

Bought brand new and would only run off propane. Had to contact Westinghouse and go through a few steps. They emailed me and provided me with a service location to drop it off at for it to be diagnosed and repaired. Not really what I was hoping for and sure worries me now on the reliability of this generator. Also wasn’t excited about having to load up a 250lb generator and drive it in to town to leave it for “at least two weeks”, according to the service center.

Westinghouse WGen9500DF was delivered well packaged and in excellent condition. Put it together and had it running inside an hour; just follow instructions. One concern I would say is the 10W-30 oil provided was not enough to completely fill the generator. . This is a very nice machine and well built. Pulls the rated wattage (only ran gas so far). The generator was easy to start and runs much quieter than our current generator it replaced. Customer service is excellent, answering questions before purchase and after purchase concern we had with the quantity of oil provided. Customer service sent another bottle to top off the oil properly. So far I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Can’t wait to use it on our next power outage but hope it doesn’t come to soon!!

I bought this generator for emergency use. It came fast. The set up was quick and easy. The owners manual is great. I hooked a propane bottle up and it started right up. It will be nice to have a generator that I don't have to worry about going through the step of rotating and conditioning fuel.

The generator arrived 1 week early in good condition and easy to set up. All parts needed for assembly of the wheels were included and easily installed. The battery was fully charged and the terminals snapped together quickly. To my surprise the generator was easy to move around in spite of its weight. Very impressed with most of the design features and what is included. Such as the fuel gauge, hours counter dual fuel switch and battery charger. The only design feature that needs improvement is the location of the 50amp receptacle which is placed directly over the wheel. Since a 50 amp cord is as thick as a large anaconda, a male plug on the end of the power cord which is offset by 90 degrees cannot be plugged in to the 50amp outlet on the generator without either removing the wheel or by adding an extension plug which provides the necessary clearance.

I did a very exhaustive analysis to but a home generator. Westinghouse had the best option for me. Price, features and quality were the top criteria for me and my house necessities. My 9500DF was easy to install and with the Gas/Propane option it is just perfect.

Picked up our new generator three weeks ago. It was well packed in the box, so no damage during shipping. Quick start guide was easy to follow. Added the oil and filled the gas tank. The unit started on first try with the remote key fob. Really happy we bought this unit. It provides the backup we needed in case of power outages again this winter.

Had been looking for dual fuel generator for awhile that was affordable, big enough to run most important household electric items & easy to use. Has remote start as well as push button. Haven't had need to use yet. Will also get electrician to install plug in so even easier to use

It runs, Its a generator, its supposed to. The remote start is a nice feature that doesn't require yet ANOTHER app on my phone. Easy assembly. Bought for a storm that didn't happen, and hope I don't need to use it this winter, but good to know I have it when needed.

Overall a great product. We bought this product 2 years ago during Florida Hurricane season and fortunately for us, have not had to break it out of the box until last week during Milton. It met our needs overall, however our fridge kept tripping the GFCI which was frustrating in the moment. Something for future buyers to look into.
