We purchased this about 6 weeks ago, after multiple power outages. Had a bad storm last week and lost power for the first time, since purchase. I was home alone and had never used a generator. My husband was able to walk me through it and I was able to start on my own without any issues. I have never used any generator so was worried it would be complicated. It could not have been easier. Allowed us to have everything we needed in our home plugged in, and worked throughout the entire night. So glad we bought this! No more sweating through the night without a fan or worrying about our groceries.

I was a little concerned with the condition the box arrived in and the damage to some of the bars on the one side of the generator, but after adding the oil and connecting the propane tank, this thing fired right up with no problems. The remote start is nice, just not sure how much use that will actually get. Im hoping this thing lasts for years, and it should based on my experience with another westinghouse generator.

Compact and powerful. Quiet, lots of features, easy to use and to move. The electrician that installed the transfer switch for our house was very impressed when testing the switch. Dual fuel is a really great feature. Thank you for a fine product.

Purchased this Westinghouse WGEN9500DF for emergency power backup to our home. Absolutely a great generator with super added features. I installed it after carefully reading all paperwork and used it in conjunction with a backup power transfer switch. With remote starting I don't even have to leave my house. Built and designed very sturdy. I rate it a 10 of 10 for my purpose. Wanted a reliable unit and I feel this is one of the best on the market.

While it hasn't been needed yet, we are glad it is here for piece of mind, as we do get quite a few power outages, where we live. It went together quickly, and easily, and started easily. The remote is awesome. Couldn't be more pleased. We are confident it will give us many years of service.

I bought this generator to supply home with the essentials lights, fridge, freezers, and mini split heat pump. Unboxed put wheels and feet on added the oil put gas in and it fired up on first try. Have not used in a power outage yet but I’m confident it will do its job

Got it out of the box In perfect condition. The instructions were clear and precise. Tons of cool features...Auto style push button start, charger for the battery, tools to assemble, they thought of everything. Pushed the start button and it fired right up! Can't wait for the power to go out!

My wife and I decided it was time to purchase a generator because of the frequent power outages after storms in Northern California. It is becoming common to lose power for 2-5 days after each storm event. This was starting to become a real hassle and headache, not to mention the loss of food in the refrigerators and freezers. With this generator, we should be able to run most of the appliances, lights, and furnace until the power is restored. The generator came almost ready to power up. All I needed to do was install the wheels and the front mounting feet. All super easy and the tools were included. Next, I need to add the oil, which was also included, then I connected the battery terminals and fired her up. The electric start made it super simple to start, and my wife really appreciated not having to pull the starting cord. We ran it on propane during the start up period, which we did for five hours, because we didn't want it sitting for extended periods of time with gasoline in the tank. We also changed the oil twice during the start up period just to make sure we kept the oil clean during this period. Hopefully we will never need to use it, but it feels great knowing that we have a backup power source in case of emergencies. That piece of mind is worth the cost of the generator!

After much research, we decided on this one because it is exactly what we needed to service multiple items on both sides of our duplex. We paired this with (1) 30A cable and (2) 20A t-blade extension cords. It is a bit loud, but that's less of an issue since it provides so much power. Next up is building a vented, sound-dampening enclosure though!

This generator is an upgrade from one we have used for a while. The electric start, 50 amp breaker, and large gas tank are definite plusses. We live on the Great Plains and power loss is a possibility throughout the year. The machine was well packaged for shipment and assembly was a snap. I was up and running in less than an hour from unpacking to first startup. This is a great "peace of mind" purchase.
