Replaced my 14 year old generator (not a Westinghouse) with this Westinghouse. I was so impressed by all the features that were not on my old generator. I liked the auto start, propane/gasoline feature, CO detector, and straightforward instructions. I believe the manual covered any questions I may have....this means alot when you're older!

I bought this a month ago which I’m very impressed on how easy the setup was. Additionally, this works perfect for my house, which power goes out quite often in my area. Finally, I do love the remote start/stop feature that enables me to click on off from within my house, very convenient feature. I love this product and worth every penny. Thank you!

Purchased this as a backup generator. Wanted one that would store without fuel in the tank. Ran it for several hours on propane without a problem. Starts easy. Remote seems like a gimmick to me, the battery switch must be on to use it, will probably never get used. Had to get this before my liberal governor banned them entirely.

I added oil then fuel, connected the battery and it started right up. While I was doing that, an electrician was installing the plug in and wired in to my electric box. After that was complete, he showed me which breakers to turn on/off. Did a test run. It powered the entire house, HVAC, frig, freezer, well pump and lights. I did not try to run the dryer or stove at the same time as everything else.

Unit arrived earlier than the committed delivery date with no shipping damage at all. Just received my 9500DF unit and was initially concerned about the weight but the built in handle made it quite manageable to maneuver around. Easily attached the wheels and feet. Connecting the battery and filling the engine with the supplied oil was convenient. Took the unit out for a spin; Started right up on gasoline Smoothly transferred to LPG while running Smoothly switched back to gasoline while running Disconnected the LPG easily Shut off the gasoline line valve and let the unit run itself dry. Also ran some power tools on the different fuels with no issues. First impression is great!!!

We have just fired this up for the first time in preparation for an all day power outage for maintenance. Our electrician was impressed with it and after turning our power on with it feel it is going to be very good to us. Our power outages will no longer be troublesome. Thank you.

I ordered a whole House generator in April and it hasn't arrived yet. Going into winter, I decided to get a portable for emergencies. With all the power on this unit, I wish I hadn't bought the whole house unit. This will handle all of my needs at a fraction of the price.

The Westinghouse Wgen9500DF (dual fuel) covers all the bases for this house of 1690 SQ Feet. Lighting is kept to a minimum by using LED in all fixtures. My intentions is to power one mid-sized chest freezer, 2 fridges, general outlets, TV/WiFi and heating for those cold Michigan winter power failures and the summer storm outages that are common as well. I have not had to put this beautiful piece of machinery to the test yet, but I will update the performance when called into duty. I bought this model after long research and I am quite impressed with this generator. It covers my power needs without pulling in the full load. I wanted to have a little more power than needed. The generator is well thought out in design. I was very impressed with the build and well labeled panel along with the safety features. The generator was not the scary monster I thought it was going to be. It was also quite easy to move around. My only complaint would be those wheels. I just cannot see the generator being rolled around from the garage to the rear of the house in a heavy snow without a struggle. I may consider changing the wheels when the time comes. The remote will certainly come in handy for on/off operation. Yes, this has the electric start, but I am glad to see that there is a backup pull start. Again, all the bases covered with this generator. Now, a generator is only as good as it’s fuel source. For me, it’s time to full the gas cans and have the propane tanks (40 gal) at the ready. I am quite satisfied with this purchase.

Two times the generator was needed. Both times it would not start without using starter fluid directly. Sprayed into the carburetor. When it ran, it ran well. Since it’s under warranty and used only two times totaling < 10 hours. Asking the manufacturer correct the malfunction and make customer well. Thank you.

I bought this generator to feed my house when theres a blackout, once a month over here. I love the little details (battery charger, remote start, propane clean running. And i’m espacially impressed by the current quality that it outputs. All my electronics run fine no problems
