These melons are definitely way too early to be sold. One of the worst melons I've purchased. Fortunately, Sam's Club took it back with no issues. The girl who processed the refund said that at least 5 other melons had been brought back that morning.

I bought watermelon today, cut it open and it wasnt red color , it was clear white and pinkish color. So knowing it wasnt ready to pick and ripen Sams decided to sell to customers. Not very happy , i wasnt able to save all of it and took a picture after cutting it up. I will go back to sams and show them the quality product. Hopefully i will get a refund back

I was frankly surprised at how good this was, but had volunteered to bring a melon to a potluck got a dozen people. It was the only melon I could find anywhere for an online pickup. I found the taste was sweet and not mushy texture. It was just enough in 4 inch chunks served in a flat Pyrex rectangular pan because there was NO WASTE. Unlike most large melons, where only the heart is sweet, the flavor was consistently sweet down to the white rind. Will try it again!

I purchased this melon on a Friday. I stored the melon in my cool pantry. Then Cut the melon on Sunday. This melon was not flavorful. The outer core was rubbery, and the melon had a sour taste because it was too old. Produce should be rotated frequently to avoid melons that should be thrown out.

I know how to pick good watermelons. The last couple that I have chosen have been very sweet and had good flavor and texture. The only thing, is I wish I could purchase non GMO melons. The supposed seedless ones that Sams sells have seed all over in them and the last two were black seeds - smaller, yes, but still black seeds that I don't care for.

I love watermelon. I saw sugar bubble on this but it is pretty flat, no rich, sweet flavor as usual. Maybe too early in the season. I'm sure it's not all of them....I just got a not so sweet one. Don't hesitate to purchase because Sam's watermelons are normally very good.

The watermelon was ripe and ready to be eaten so it had some soft areas that were too soft but it tasted ok. I'd say a 6 if you rates it but what I was upset about was the price, right after I purchased it I went to a local grocery store and the price was cheaper by a little over a dollar. I know it is only a dollar but It upset me because I pay an annual membership fee trusting I'll get the cheapest price.

Sadly this was not good at all, it evidently was not ready for eating, it was difficult to cut and even more difficult to eat, it was like biting into a piece of leather, I had to throw it out, very disappointing. I was able to get a reimbursement which was nice.

The watermelon was great, red and juicy. Loved it! However, I was not given the choice to rate the organic gala apples I also purchased. They were terrible! I had purchased them once before and they were not good and I thought I had gotten a bad bag of apples. These were no different. When you bite into them the apples were soft and brown inside and tasted terrible. I don't know why Sam's switched to the organic, as I never had any trouble with non-organic gala apples that I had been buying for years. Organic doesn't mean better!!!
