I’m very surprised to have purchased a half rotten Texas grown watermelon because they are always juicy and delicious. This time, I cut it open only to find that one half was rotten and the other half was juicy and delicious. The plums, on the other hand, are always rotten! I have purchased these plumbs approximately three different times throughout the last several years and the are always ROTTEN:/ I recommend buying the Texas grown watermelons because the one half rotten watermelon that I selected was just a fluke. I do not recommend the plums because they are always rotten like the Mexican imported watermelons which I don’t recommend buying.

I got this watermelon, looks delicious I wait exactly 3 days for opening, because I am to busy working, and then they get something wired I put attention and is rotten, I can’t even open , if I can said something better than this is a tell people please we aware of Sam’s fruit now because is not fresh,Everything is Freeze and your money is practically on the trash , sad I spent to much money and fruit and I throw all :(

Was told by a farmer that I had picked the perfect watermelon, “I guarantee this is a good one!” When I got it home, it was pink inside, not red, tasteless, truth is, I ate three bites of it and bagged it up and put it in the garbage, probably the worst tasting watermelon I’ve had in the last two years.

This was the best watermelon! I'm never sure about how to buy a watermelon but I stuck to the things I've read -- brown stem, yellow side where it lay in the field and something I just read about -- wider spaced stripes. I made a really good choice.

The sample that I was given in store was delicious and refreshing. Sadly, the watermelon I chose wasn’t. When I cut into it there was a large hollow yellow-ish place. I tasted a piece that was far away from the hollow area and it was flavorless and unpleasant. The whole melon went into the trash. I would have returned it but I didn’t have time before leaving town.

Excellent seedless watermelon. Be sure to pick the items that are very yellow on the bottom. The hopefully long patch of yellow means it has been in contact with the earth and 99% of the time a good indicator that the melon is sweet and firm. This has been my experience on the matter.

This particular watermelon was soooo sweet and good. Before I finished cutting the watermelon in half, I could smell the fresh aroma and crispness of the watermelon. The color of the watermelon inside was beautifully red and firm. Not soft around the edges or in the middle like previous watermelons I've purchased in the past. If there's such a thing as perfect, this watermelon 🍉 was! And the price was perfect!!!!

I bought 2 watermelon 2 weeks apart. They were gigantic watermelons for $6.98. The first one I bought was delicious. I went back over a week later for the second purchase and it was horribly spoiled. There’s a round trip distance between Sam’s and my home of roughly 70 miles.

Very disappointing. We purchased 2 watermelons-one with coloring slightly darker than the other with hope that at least one would be good. Unfortunately, both were as crunchy as celery after cutting them into bite-size pieces. One had no flavor at all; the other had a little flavor after sitting in the little bit of juice it made at the bottom of the bowl.

I wish I could give this item zero stars. This watermelon was spoiled. It had a sour odor to it. I have never had an experience like I had with this watemelon. I couldn't return it because I don't have my own transportation and the store is over 6 miles away from my home. I had to take it to the garbage outside the house immediately it was so bad. I haven't been able to return to buy another one yet. I don't even know if I want to anyway. The watermelon had a brown like tint to it and smelled like stale garbage. It was disgusting !!
