This watermelon was, without a doubt, the poorest quality I’ve ever bought. Even a single star rating feels generous. The interior was so mushy, it could be scooped out with a spoon, resembling soup more than fruit. I considered returning it, but that would require keeping it until my next trip to Sam’s Club. Usually buy watermelon from here all the time and been happy with price. Was wanting a watermelon and couldn't find one at any of the local store that were not cut up. Came to Sam's and found one and couldn't believe the wanted $8.00 for a watermelon i had no choice but to buy it for a party reason but was truly shocked at the price. Sam's makes money and to charge $8.00 for it was upsetting because it wasn't even sweet at all ended up throwing it away.

Watermelon was over ripe and had hard areas in the middle of the red flesh plus texture was off. Not the best melon I have ever purchased. I ended up returning the melon for a refund. Will wait for new season of melons…the melons are usually very good!

This is fresh!! I knew it when you cut it first time the watermelon cracks and just have to follow thru the crack to slice it through. Taste does not disappoint either, crunchy and sweet. Good deep red color enticing you to eat it all. I will purchase again for a reasonable price of $6.98.

I’ve had more bad watermelons than good ones. I’ve read and tried all the strategies to find a good one but I’ve been disappointed over and over. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck, but the last couple years I’ve had overripe or tasteless watermelons when I buy them at Sam’s. As much as I love watermelon, I’ve stopped buying it because I end up throwing it away.

Absolutely awful watermelon. It was extremely disappointing as we buy these watermelons fairly frequently for halftime snack for my son's football. This one the rednfruit inside was split and beige. We didn't return it because we live quite away from the store and it was extremely inconvenient to return it very disappointed never had such poor produce from Sam's Club before or since.

Sam’s watermelons have been consistently underwhelming. From tasteless to over-ripened, the issues can run the gambit. In years past, I would have taken the watermelons back but because of the pandemic, I use the pickup option and chop it up as a lost to avoid having to go into the store.

I bought 2 of these watermelons based on a previous purchase I had made. My recent purchase was a HORRIBLE experience. These watermelons are NOT seedless as advertised. They are NOT sweet as advertised!!!! They are disgustingtart tasting with seeds!!!! Waste of money!!!!!

I know how to pick good watermelons. The last couple that I have chosen have been very sweet and had good flavor and texture. The only thing, is I wish I could purchase non GMO melons. The supposed seedless ones that Sams sells have seed all over in them and the last two were black seeds - smaller, yes, but still black seeds that I don't care for.
