The New York grown russet potatoes we purchased this week were utterly tasteless. Previously, another batch of New York potatoes at least had some flavor. But, neither product could be termed real russet potatoes. Sam's once had 15 lb. bags of large russets from Idaho. There is a notable difference in quality and flavor. Why does Sam's buyers compromise themselves at the expense of their customers? If they have to charge more for Idaho russets, just charge more. It would be better than getting inconsistent quality "russets" from New York or Canada. The Canada russet potatoes were truly awful.

I liked the 15 lb bag better. Are we going to get it back?

A majority of the potatoes in these bags are rotten.have been stored in a warehouse to long.

Potatoes were a nice size, but several of them had brown spots that had to be cut off and discarded.

This brand (as pictured) were the best potatoes ever! Sams has switched to a different brand, packaging and all and they taste nothing like the original brand carried!

I must have just gotten a bad batch. I used 4 of these great big potatoes for soup. I was surprised to have to whittle them down to about 2/3 of their original size. They were filled with black parts all over...but I thought they were clear after that. But after making the soup it tasted like the potatoes were on the edge of rottenness. My wife said, "It's not too bad if you put enough cheese in it." Needless to say, this is not a Sam's product I will purchase again. I am really surprised that they don't know some of the quality is waning. More quality control would help...I suppose. I do not recommend this porduct to anyone.

This is approximately the 4 time have purchased these potatoes and they have been bad. I know I purchased mor but started paying attention. I have bought these often but a while back I ended needing to throw the entire bag away. The next time they were excellent. So, 3rd time i purchased 2 bags. One bag was excellent the other bad. I then went to a reputable l grocery store and their potatoes were no good. Next I purchased a bag from Walmart superstore.Rhey were bad. Today, I bought another 10lb bag from Sams. They looked nice on the outside so I waa very hopeful. I have now cut into 2 potatoes and they were bad. I DO NOT recommend. Zero stars.
