I didn’t know what to expect from this Generator since it was cheaper than most other brands. Right out of the box it was easy to setup and everything was provided, oil/battery/tools and all I had to do was add fuel. the first impressions are it’s super quiet and it runs pretty good quiet even at 50% capacity. I did my first oil change and found very small metal shavings but nothing out of the norm. I use it for my RV to run AC and other appliances and so far it has exceeded my expectations!

This is my first generator and I've been pleasantly surprised. The quick-start guide is straightforward and clear. Add oil. Add gas. Connect battery. Push button. Cranked up immediately and ran steadily. Handled a full load no problem and it really is a quiet generator. I'm 100% happy with my purchase and so happy to support a great American company!

I did my research and found this Westinghouse iGen 4500 was the top rated portable generator I am in shock at the quality of this product. Fill with fuel and oil and just push a button and it fired right up. So quiet! They thought of everything when it comes to connections. It doesn't get any easier or more convenient than this.

This is our second iGen4500. We sold the first one with our camper and immediately bought another for our next camper. It is quiet. Love the remote start. The new model has some great features. Tells you how much time you have before you run out of gas. Can't wait to try it out! Priced right too.

Got this generator as a Christmas present from my wife. After looking at several different brands and models, I told her that this is one is my preference. It was easy to set up and started on the very first push of the starter button. Have yet to put it under full load, but the items that I powered with it posed no problem. If I had complain about something, it would be the rubber strap that holds the battery. Never could get it to stay properly, but have substituted a velcro strap that works perfectly. Great product!

I bought this Generator to replace my Yamaha 4500 which is an awesome generator, but it weighs over 200 lbs and its getting harder and harder to move around every year. I use the generator for my RV which has 2 AC units and a microwave. Although it's advertised that it will run two AC units, I don't think it likes it. My Yamaha didn't like it either. This generator is extremely quiet, the quietest generator I have ever heard of this size. I love the remote start, Yamaha also had the remote start, a must for cold weather camping. I am excited to give this thing a full test on our upcoming family camp. So far I am loving this new generator and so is my back.

I’ve owned this generator for 2 years now. I do change the oil after large outings. We just returned from a week long trip where it was in constant use for 5 days during some higher Texas temperatures. We turned it off only when leaving camp and for refueling. We were complimented multiple times on how quiet it was. After 2 years of use, it didn’t even so much as stutter. My only recommendations would be for the addition of oil change tubes to allow for cleaner oil changes (I added aftermarket products myself). Otherwise, this has been a fantastic product for us!

Product is as described. Had issues with the auto choke function initially. Thankfully I found a service bulletin online. Seems the wiring can jar lose during shipment which affects the electronics. Fortunately I'm mechanically inclined and was able to reconnect the wiring following the service notice. Once done the gen works nicely. Would suggest this element of the equipment be modified to reduce shipping failure point.

bought generator at the end of November 2020. didn't get a chance to try it because of the long winter until today, easter. didn't realize it had a charger for the battery, but it started immediately with the remote starter after putting oil and gas in it. put both it and my honda eu2000i in my driveway and it is every bit as quiet as my honda. started my ac in my camper with no problem, then it ran both the ac and microwave with 1000 watts to spare. ordered ramp ends to make ramps to take it in and out of my camper. very happy so far.

The iGen4500 was delivered on June 9th and was only used a couple of times and has already stopped working. The unit cranks but does not start. I've read a few reviews about a bad choke system but the choke does seem to be working. I am also disappointed that the unit was manufactured in early 2019.
