Only had this a couple weeks but extremely satisfied with quick delivery as ease of setup. Instructions do say to add entire bottle of oil that is included with the generator. Although I found if you add entire bottle it will slightly overfill it. Runs great and extremely quiet.

Purchased this because of living along the coast in SC. Had several power outages each of the last 3 years due to storms. Figured I would protect myself next time. Generator came within 4 days. Easy set up. Filled with supplied oil. Fueled up and connected the battery. Turned on the battery switch and fuel knob. Used the start button on the unit and it fired right up once it got gas. Shut off and started with the remote. Again it fired right up. This thing is very quiet with no load. I’m sure once there is a load it will be a little louder but can’t be much. Very pleased so far. Will be ready for the next power outage.

When I purchased the product it did not come with the item listed in the manual so I called and they were shipped to me. The plastic exterior all cracked and we were sent the pieces but due to the construction it took an experienced mechanically inclined person over 3 hours to replace. We did an oil change at the same time and 1 month later after running it roughly 14 hours it stops running. Just about 1 year to the date of original purchase. This is too much maintenance. Pros are it is very quiet when it ran and used very little gas.

The packaging was excellent and the product undamaged. The product assembly was very good. The generator started right up after prep. and every feature worked correctly. The generator was quieter than I expected. The generator seem quieter that the two Honda EU2000is when used in parallel that I own. I am tired of the set-up, manual start (which required my to exit the RV every time the generator was needed), small fuel tank on the Honda and with no fuel gauge on the Honda I never really new how much fuel was remaining. The iGen4500 features included: Electric start, remote start, long run time, fuel gauge and additional power were important in my decision.

Tested this unit on my RV and all was great. After a few hours boondocking with the RV, it would not idle down in econo mode, ran very rough, was loud and used a LOT of gas. Minimized use for the rest of the trip and checked it when home. Found a wiring connection slightly loose (not the one in a Youtube video) and it seems OK now.

Very easy set up (I'm a widow and on my own and was concerned about being able to handle it by myself). It's pretty heavy (about 100 lbs.), but I was able to get it out of the box with only a few grunts. The directions were clearly explained for the initial set-up and it even came with the oil needed. I haven't run it yet, but am confident that it'll be exactly what I need.

This generator has features and power output better and higher than any other in its class. The problem is that if u get one where everything works as it should, you're lucky. My first one, the remote didn't work, the start stop button didn't work. I was only able to get it started only by the pull starter. Once i got it started the choke wouldn't shut off. Retuned that one and ordered another. On the second, the remote start would work, but using the remote stop would shut it down where it would immediately restart. And it only operates in economy mode, the switch has no effect. So,I pulled all the panels off and disconnected and reconnected every connector I could find. That fixed the remote stop but I still cannot take it out of economy mode. I can live with that until I call their support. Bummer they're out of covers for the bonus gift. So, 5 stars for features and 3 stars for them having a hard time delivering one without problems.

Purchased this a few months ago and used for the first time a few weeks ago on a week long camping trip. Was impressed with how quiet it actually runs and fuel consumption was very efficient. Had some trouble with the key fob and push start every time after refueling but not a total deal breaker for I just used the pull start. Overall a worthwhile purchase!

Have only.used this iGen5000c with a second iGen5000c for one hour connected in parallel on my RV. Previously ran my RV on an iGen4500 (not parallel capable) but my power requirements were more than it could provide so upgraded to twin iGen5000c models. Running in parallel provides all the power I have needed in my test run. I plan to add a second AC unit to my RV and am confident that I will have all the power I will need. When not running everything in 100* temperatures the iGen4500 I had did very well. I anticipate great service from the twin iGen5000c models.

I bought this last month and took it out immediately on a trip, It did everything I expected perfectly. It got great fuel economy, was very quiet (especially for its size), was very user friendly, it had plenty of power to run all accessories on my travel trailer. Having the key Fob to remote start and shut off is an extremely convenient feature, I found myself only using that to cycle it on and off. Only con is that it Is very heavy, especially when it's full of fuel. It's definitely a two-person lift to get it into a truck, But it has a nice retractable handle and wheels to move it easily when it's on the ground. Totally expected with a unit of this size.
