I was on the fence about buying the iGen4500 after reading the reviews. So glad I went ahead with my purchase! This thing runs and sounds so smooth, its exactly what I wanted and would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying a high power but really quiet power source. Ps starts first try every time. I purchased this generator as a back-up for our house here in CA and for portable power with our 5th trailer when there is no shore power available. We are having quite a few potential power outages with the numerous wildfires here this year along with "rolling blackouts" when demand gets too high. Now. I dont have to worry about our 2 freezers and 2 refrigerators continuing to run and possibly having spoiling food. I just open our house main breaker and plug in a double male plug end 30A extension cord to the trailer recepticle on my workshop and I can power the house with 3700 running watts of power. That's plenty to power all of the critical devices whenever it's needed. It is about 100 lbs. so really, it's portable enough to take camping with our 5th wheel and will power all of the essential stuff AND one of my air conditioners with no problem It is fairly quiet at about 62-65db under load and even queiter when it's in the "efficiency" mode. It is a little pricey but for the quality and dependability that it provides it is well worth the money and being an "inverter" type generator, it is safe to use with your delicate electronics. This unit even has a couple of USB charging ports on the control panel to charge or power your portable devices. It also features 4500 peak watts, electric/remote starting, and everything that you'll need to put it work (except for gasoline of course) right out of the box. If you're looking for a multi-purpose inverter geneator this is the unit that you'll want.

Generator arrived in great shape. No problem with set up. Battery was charged. The generator was tested at the factory so there is residual oil in the unit. The supplied oil will over fill the unit. Quick set up should point that out better. I wish a free bonus generator cover offer that comes in the manual packet would have been mentioned before I ordered one. Runs very quiet. I like the features but the manual totally contradicts the remote start purpose. Manual says to not have anything plugged in or powered prior to start and unplug before shut down. Seems like an issue for RV operation. I asked customer service and was told its a backup to the electric start button on the unit. Back up to me is the pull start. Also the master switch has to be on for the remote start to work. Not sure how long the battery will last with the switch on. To be fair I have read that other competitors say the same thing. I will have to talk to my RV tech and get their input. Why have remote start if I have to walk outside to the generator anyway. I will post again after more experience with the unit. Customer service has been easy to reach and friendly. All in all I still feel like it was a great choice.

This unit is replacing an old inverter gen. Smaller but much greater output. Can easily run appliances without juggling loads. Displays are very useful. Automatic choke surprise benefit. Slightly louder but cannot be heard outside of my courtyard. Recommended by a close friend, whose son in law owned one, and who regretted that it was not available when he updated his generator.

Amazed at how quiet and easy it is to use. The push button start is perfect, you do have to leave the battery switch on but as long as your battery is charge that is not a problem at all. The Eco mode is scary quiet. I though it would be to heavy for one person to lift andI would say its not really that bad really, heavy yes but not that bad. Over all I have been very happy only time will truly tell but so far so good.

The Hondas that we had were a pull start. I am 78 and my Dementia Husband is 79 and we could no longer start them. We always had to ask someone to help us. The unit has soo many extra features and with the self starting feature we are now independent campers again.

We bought this for camping. Power’s everything it should: a/c, fridge, everything. So much quieter than our older generator. We can actually have a conversation standing next to the running iGen4500. Starts so easy. The remote is really going to change things, too.

Everything was there that I was looking for. Started easily and ran smoothly. One nick picky item: It would be nice to have a indicator on the float charger wall power supply or on the face of the control panel showing that the float charger is in operation.

Our usage elevations fluctuate from 800 to 8000 feet. This generator handles this well. We love being able to use the fob to start or stop without getting out of the camper and at a distance of 99 feet. The live data display of remaining time run, power output, fuel level, voltage, and lifetime hours is an excellent tool. It can also be used as a back-up to household power shortage.

We bought this unit as a backup gernerator for our camper but have found it useful for other appliocations. I have used it to build an elevated hunting blind in a remote location and have used it a few times to run an electric fryer at a fish fry next to a lake where there was no power. It's very quiet and efficient. I would reccomend to everyone!
