Easy to set up and great features

I just purchased this generator and have not used it yet but Westinghouse thinks of everything including a good funnel for filling the oil. It appears to be good quality and they have made hooking up the battery even easier with just a plug in. Outstanding features. The layout of the front is not what is shown in the manual so that is something they could improve a little. Once I try it I will probably give it 5 stars.

Perfect for RV Dry Camping

My husband and I just bought a 30-foot travel trailer for spending time on our land in Central Texas. The iGen4500 was the perfect complement to power the air conditioner and appliances while charging the battery. It starts reliably, has a nice array of electrical outlets, gives good operational information on the control display AND is so quiet. The remote start allows starting the generator from inside the trailer for brewing a pot of coffee and heating up a pastry in the microwave without having to traipse outside in the early morning. We are extremely pleased.

Quiet and Portable

Great features like having wheels to be moved easily. Extremely quiet operation, easy to setup and use and the remote control feature is convenient! Been researching these inverter generators for months and glad I purchased this brand and model. Additionally, you can connect two up at once for even more power if needed!

Fits in our 5th wheel

Bought this in February with plans to use it with our 5th wheel. Size is nice and it powered up our appliciances and batteries. We haven't had a chance to test it with one on the A/Cs yet. If it works well to run at least 1 AC we will buy a 2nd one and the combiner cords.

Started perfectly out of the box

I ordered this unit because it has electric start, and my wife struggles to pull start our existing generator. If a situation ever arose where I was out of town and she needed emergency power, she could be stuck in the dark. I bought this and unpacked it today, and I'm pleased to report that it started up on the first button push after following the quick start guide. The form factor matches some features of my old unit, like the rear wheels and extendable handle which are features that I feel are a must have if you intend for your significant other to use this on their own. It is quite easy to pull around, and while I can lift this solo I wouldn't recommend it as it is over 90 lbs. While it is still too early to tell how reliable it is I have run it for 1 hour so far, and I intend to use it heavily over the next week to really make sure I can trust it during a major storm. I can say that I put a half gallon of gas in it, and let it idle about 15 minutes, then ran it with a toaster oven (1500W) attached. After 30 minutes it had shut down. There was still some gas in the tank so I started it back up and it ran briefly before sputtering and shutting off. I put another half gallon of gas in and it ran perfectly fine for another 15 minutes, and at that point it had run for an hour so I shut it down manually. I had put in exactly 1 gal of fuel in, so I added exactly 2.5 gal more and was surprised it was exactly at the full tank line, which means I had put in exactly 3.5 gallons of gas, and it has a listed capacity of 3.4 gallons. If my math is correct that means in my 1 hour of run time I burned 0.1 gallons of gas. I honestly think it burned more than that, and perhaps the tank size is smaller than listed, but overall I'm not concerned about tank size as you can shut down and refuel anytime. One thing to note is that the included paper manual was out of date, even though my unit shows it to be manufactured in 2020. The online manual matches the control panel layout more closely and the oil fill directions make more sense so I printed a copy of that to replace the included version. One other thing to note is the recommended oil changes after the initial break in are every 50 hours. Because of this I plan to make sure I have oil on hand to do a change during a storm event. It would be really easy to have a power outage that lasts long enough to exceed the 50 hour runtime between changes. My old unit had an interval of 100 hours between changes, but honestly as long as this generator starts and runs that is not something I care about. My priority is making sure my wife has power if I'm not at the house. If you want a generator with a good form factor, quiet engine, and easy electric starting this unit is a great one to pick up.

Easy Set Up

I just received the iGen 4500 today and it was very easy to set up. Add oil, add gas, hook up battery and started with remote on first try. It's very quiet, I plugged in a belt sander and it didn't make a difference in sound. It says "auto rotating display" but it's not, you have to press a little button on display to go through the functions. I will be putting it under more load with the RV soon. Pros; Easy start, Quiet, easy to understand display Cons; Display does not auto rotate (not a big deal but it says it is).

Great Design Features.

Very well designed - Compact, Bullet proof case. Excellent connection features. Fast effortless start. Quiet. I keep mine on the back deck. Only complaint is that the bracket for the telescoping handle (for easy wheeling) gets in the way of trying to drag it up stairs single handedly. My IGen wintered on the back deck under a waterproof cover in Minnesota and didn't complain.

Well built and great features with a remote start

Bought for my fifth wheel camping trailer. Easy to move around with built in retractable handle. Also has good grips to lift into truck. Well built and easy to set up. No prime required after fueling. Started right up with key fob electric start. Great price with many features. More than enough power to run the single AC unit and other items while camping.

Great Generator

I purchased the iGen 4500 the beginning of April, it arrived on time as stated. I have tested the iGen on my 50 amp travel trailer and preforms great. I will operate 1 A/C at a time (travel trailer has 2 A/C systems) along with other small appliances. The noise level is low and increases as a heavy load is added, however, I was able to have a conversion standing about 4 to 5 feet away without raising my voice. Very happy so far. My recommendation is if you have a RV get this unit you won't be disappointment.

Igen 4500 -

just arrived. Added oil, Gas and pressed the remote - Runs great. put it under load and it managed fine. I am upgrading a Yamaha 2400is for more Amps to run a travel trailer with multiple AC's, heat pumps etc . Surprised that its nearly the same weight though perhaps even quieter for nearly double to power and a lower price option. Fits under the trucks bed cover..
