Purchased a igen5000C in December of 2025. Had only operated it for the breaking period, then a January 2026 snow/ice storm was predicted. My father-in-law attempted to start his older generator but it wouldn't start so I transferred my igen5000C to him and ordered another. This igen5000C has also only operated for the breaking period but if it runs with the same reliability as my daughters igen4500C I'll be satisfied.

So far I'm extremely satisfied with the design and a lot of the bells and whistles like covered buttons, for moisture resistance. Huge plus: Can charge the battery with a common connector from the front panel!! Also, it comes with a multi-digital display for more than just hours ran! All in all, I couldn't be much happier since this is as modern with features as they come. Plus, they give your a wireless remote for start, an oil change funnel, and a charger!

The generator delivers reliable performance and is suitable for both residential and light commercial use. It provides a steady power output and starts smoothly, making it dependable during power outages or in remote locations. The build quality is solid, with a durable frame designed to withstand regular use and varying weather conditions.

Purchased this to use with my horse trailer. Runs everything great! Its quiet and does not disturb anyone around me. Love the attached handle, makes it so much easier to move. The remote start is wonderful, no more having to go outside to start it. Would definitively purchase again!

I just received this generator. Packaging was fantastic; simply open the top, remove the manuals, oil and tools, remove the upper styrofoam packaging, slice the four corners of the box, roll the plastic cover down, and lift the generator out. The unit comes with the exact amount of motor oil required (0.6 L) and a threaded funnel that threads into the dipstick port. After filling with oil, and adding a small amount of ethanol-free gasoline, the engine started on the second pull. There was no smoke or odd sounds. Speaking of sounds, this generator is QUIET! Very nicely built, with lots of special features on the front panel. I am very excited to use this camping in a few weeks.

This is my second igen to add to my other. Easy starting, quiet, and love the feature of parallel power cord. Clean sine wave, safe power for delicate electrical circuits in home. Excellent fuel efficiency!! Something you don't use every month but when power is out, this is what you need For peace of mind!

Bought for husband to use for hunting. Added oil and gas, pushed the start button and it started up with no issues. I can't believe we waited so long to buy one. Husband is excited to start using it. It will run everything in our camper with no problems.

I bought this generator after a high winds storm knocked out power all over the western half of my state. My area was without power for three days. The next power outage gave came a month later and gave me the opportunity to try out the generator. It was quick and easy to hook up to my propane tank. It started up in a couple seconds and ran consistently and relatively quietly for three hours until my power was restored. I ran two refrigerators, two computers, four monitors, and a modem with mesh system with no problem. I would recommend this generator to anyone that can move its relatively heavy load to a spot where it can be run. The smaller model may be enough for some, and it is considerably smaller and I would imagine a good bit lighter. I advise to buy only what you absolutely need, since storage space is also a consideration.

Purchased after the March, 2015 ice storm. Borrowed my brothers Honda 2000 during that time. The iGen 5000 is as quiet as the Honda. However, the larger tank and front panel display and the higher output make this a much better unit. It starts right up and is ready to go right away. I am able to provide recharging to my two power stations at one time vice only one at a time. The wheels and handle make it very easy to relocate the unit. This will make any future power outages much easier to handle. Very nice unit for the price.

This generator has all the features that I wanted. Most importantly is that it is very quiet! I also wanted the dual fuel, remote control, push button start, compact, and easy to keep clean. Since I live at 5330 feet above sea level I like that there is an optional kit for high altitude. I only wish it was easier to install this kit.
