Went online to read other customers feedback before purchasing. Have only taken covers off to explore. The battery tiedown strap was not fastened. An elbow added to the oil plug would allow the oil to drain through the cabinet port without getting oil on the machine. Would be a simple and low cost fix for the oil drain issues and the mess the current system leaves.

This is a high quality generator. I'm a Honda fan, but this Westinghouse generator is easily as good (maybe better) than the competition. The engineering of the design is top notch. You can tell that this was not just quickly created to sell another product. This inverter generator was designed for ease of use and ease of maintenance. Even the funnel that they provide to fill the oil is unique and makes the job easy. After adding the oil, the generator easily started on the first pull (it also has electric start and remote start). We are very happy with this inverter generator.

I bought this inverter/generator to take camping. It is fairly quiet, has a large fuel tank allowing for long run times and will power the air conditioner on the camper. It's a good solid unit. I use it at high altitudes (9000 ft +) so I purchased separately and installed the high altitude jet before adding fuel or oil. Would be nice if jet kits were included with the unit like some competitors do. Anyone using over 2000 feet is recommended to replace if I remember correctly. Jet install could have a little simpler but the directions were clear.

My Honda is showing signs of its age and also its power is marginal for our new 5th wheel RV. I've looked at a lot of generators and thought the IGen4500 would be a perfect upgrade. And what an upgrade it it. It appears the quality is as good as my old generator and the power, remote start, wheels, etc., etc., make it a far more suitable unit. Oh yes, the price tag of less than half that of the Honda sealed the deal for me.

I bought my 4500 inverter last November. Pretty happy with it so far. I wish I would have bought the inverter that would accept gas or gas. My sourness towards Westinghouse is the cover they give you if you fill in a feedback request. Which I did. And, if you did fill this out they would give you a cover for your generator for FREE! The problem is, it doesn’t fit over your generator. They say it’s “ snug”! It doesn’t fit! They will send you a link of where to buy one that does fit…. How funny is that? Not a big deal for me! I just hate the false promises.

I bought this generator for my mini donut trailer about a month ago and it’s been wonderful. I’ve had several vendors come up and ask how I liked it and that it was much more quieter than other brands. Electric start is quick and remote start is nice for easy setup. The 3 gallon tank is nice at long events so that you don’t have to refill during.

I was on the fence about buying the iGen4500 after reading the reviews. So glad I went ahead with my purchase! This thing runs and sounds so smooth, its exactly what I wanted and would recommend it to anyone thinking about buying a high power but really quiet power source. Ps starts first try every time. Very happy with it right out of the box. Product is solid, well built and ships with everything you need. I put Mobil 1 oil in instead of the oil it comes with and put in a NGK spark pug before starting it. It started immediately and ran like a charm. Hooked it to my travel trailer and ran it for about an hour with the AC and tv running. It purred like a kitten smooth and quiet.

Hello! We bought this generator for our new trailer Imagine XLS 22MLE. We needed it to run the air conditioner and a few other things. We just love it! There is a known problem and I had read about it so I was aware of it with the choke. Sure enough when it arrived and I put the battery and oil in then tried to start it. It would not start!! After I took the sides off and put the wire clip back on it fired right up and runs great!!
