Received today. Added oil and gas. Started right away, quiet and powerfull. Will use with my 40’ 5th wheel.

Purchased the igen5000c just in time for a possible hurricane here in Florida. So glad I did so we can have power for the necessities.

POWER

Well packed. Machine has a lot of nice features. Seems well built. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Actually I hope I don’t.

My cousin had one so I thought I would give it a chance and we absolutely love this thing, gets the job done for our camper plus it’s really quiet

Little heavy but absolutely meets our needs.  We use when we are "forced" to boondock in our 40ft 5th wheel and we are very comfortable

This is  great buy, advanced technology for customers who would have difficulties to deal with a manual-start equiptment.

I got this generator for my travel trailer camping, and it is a lot quicker than any generator I’ve owned and love the remote start that works great.

Very quiet

I just brought the iGen4500. Instructions were easy to read and use. Started without any problems and is working perfectly.

Easy to use!

Have only had the generator for a few days but so far it's running great.  The remote start is fantastic.

Love the remote start

I bought this unit a few months ago, did a proper break in, and had it charging ready for when it was needed. When it was needed it would not stay running, it would rev up and quit. I submitted warranty claim and it has been sitting in a shop for 3 weeks. I needed it for camp in 2 weeks, now I am looking to either buy another inverter or cancel a family trip. Not a great start.

Disappointed

I purchased the iGen 4500 for camping and the ocassional home power outage. I'm impressed with how quiet it runs compared to my old generator and the retractable handle, which helps to move it around.

Depending on where you live or camp, you'll need to contact Westinghouse to purchase the high altitude kit. If you live or camp at an elevation of 2000 ft and lower, you don't need to swap out the jet. But at any elevation higher than 2000 ft, you will need the high altitude kit for proper fuel-air mixture. 

Westing house responded to my email in just hours, and I was able to order and receive the kit within a few days. Westinghouse has a simple tutorial video on their sight with step-by-step instructions on how to swap out the carburetor jet that corresponds to your altitude. My auto mechanic told me he swaps them out frequently for many different brands, but it's not difficult to do it yourself to save money. He was right, I watched the video and swapped it out myself. 

A quick note if you swap jet out yourself, I placed the hardware in plastic sandwich bags then labeld each step. It made it easier when reassembling.

I've been pleased with my purchase. It's a nice little generator.
