Works great! We are so pleased. We went to a family camping reunion. We go every year to OR and we are always roasting due to the extreme heat! Whew! Well, this July we did our due diligence and went over the reviews and watched YouTube videos re this product. The reviews were overwhelming positive so we went for it. We actually wanted the dual fuel! but couldn’t find one anywhere! We knew that that would have benefited our purpose much better. But the quiet?? Amazing. We were the envy of all the other campers! Ha.

I received the unit a few days ago. After set up it started immediately and ran well for 5 hours of break-in. Unfortunately, the choke sticks so I must remove the access cover to adjust the choke each time so the generator will start. My expectation is that this issue will be fixed so I can use the generator for camping with my trailer. The features of this generator make it convenient to use and service and the power is just right for our needs. Once repaired I will submit a revised review.

I recently purchased the IGen5000Fcv inverter generator. This generator kept our critical systems going during a two day power outage due to Tropical storm Debby here in south Georgia. The generator ran flawlessly. I like the option of dual fuel and the inverter is a really nice addition. Very happy with this purchase and am confident it will last a long time.

I'm giving 5 stars for the igen 4500 although I just received it and just got it running. Arrived on time with no damage put the oil in but not entire bottle as there was already oil in it. Hooked up the battery gave it a drink of fresh gas pushed the button and off it went. The remote worked as well and will be nice if the wife needs to use it. Overall very happy but time will tell.

Just received this iGen4500c (one of two) and I love this set up. Poured the oil in, added some gas and hooked up the battery. A flip of the switch, a press of the button and it started right up. It ran smooth as silk immediately. Plugged it all kinds of power tools to vary the load and it did not skip a beat. I ran it for a 30 minute period to begin the break in. I was very happy with how quiet this beast is. Speaks softly and puts out a lot of power. Next I will hook this one to it's brother that I also just received (two of two) with the parallel hook up and run my 5th wheel trailer, which is why I bought two. I have no doubt they will handle everything just like they should. Control panel gives a lot of info, some info you don't notice at first. The fuel gauge and power output percentage are nice LED level gauges on both sides of LED readout gauge. The only two complaints I have is that gas consumption on LED gauge is only in liters and not gallons and that there are some sharp edges around the area where the battery goes. Scratched up my arm well but I have "old man skin".

I was looking for an inverter generator that was quiet yet powerful enough to provide home backup for a gas furnace, some appliances and key lighting circuits. I had looked at other brands but they were either more or less powerful than I needed or weren't in my price range. I read a review of this model in consumer reports and decided this is the unit I need. It's VERY quiet, more so than I was expecting. Setup was very straight forward but a little messy (I overfilled the oil). And it started right up. Time will tell but so far I am really pleased with this purchase.

This generator is super quiet. I was not expecting a 4500 to be as quiet as my previous 2000 from another manufacturer but it is. Remote start and push button start are great features as well. I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely purchase again!

I received the unit the other day. Today I put oil and gas in it, pushed the start button and it fired right up! I let it run for a little bit, then shut it off and used the pull start method - fired right up with 1 pull! So I shut it off again and used the remote - this is awesome, started right up! I plugged in a small space heater - the generator was still very quiet. So I let it run, and hooked my 30a 5th wheel RV into it. I went inside and turned on the fridge on AC and the air 15k btu air conditioner, 3kw pure sine inverter/100a charger, a few lights, etc. - this generator ran it without blinking and no increase in noise level. This unit is VERY quiet! Very happy with this purchase so far - can't wait to get on the road with it!

I'm impressed with the feature set - electric, remote start, LED information center and the fact that it is very quiet as advertised. I did the 5 hour break-in run and changed the oil 3 times with no issues. Ready for the next hurricane. My primary dissatisfaction is with the documentation. The included manual front panel documentation is totally different from the unit I have. I found a manual by searching with google that is very similar. But I still was not able to find the serial number. The only number I could find was a scan code near the bottom of the cabinet. Still not sure that is the actual serial number.

The review sign up did not have a IGEN2500 item in the drop down list so i chose the 4500 which is not what i have. Anyway... I put oil and a little gas in it and pulled 3 times and started up. Ran a little rough at first but to be expected. Plugged in a few things and every thing was working as expected. After a while it smoothed out. Looks like a winner!
