We haven't had a chance to actually put it to use for an extended period. However, we have cranked it and used it to run our living quarters horse trailer for a bit. It works perfectly and is really quiet! Who needs to pay waaaay more for a H***a when you can have a Westinghouse for a whole lot less. It serves the same purpose! Love it! And we have already recommended to someone else we know wanting to purchase one!

Unboxed my new Igen4500 today. I filled it with oil and gas then connected the battery and hit the start button and it fired right up. I was very impressed with how quiet this unit was and how easy it started. I placed it under load with a box heater that pulls about 12 amps and the generator handled it with no problem and was still very quiet. I also cycled the unit on and off with the remote and everything worked great. I plan to power my 36' travel trailer with this generator. If I have any issues I will report back. Overall I'm pretty surprised and impressed.

I use this generator for my RV. I found the remote start / stop extremely convenient. The generator was apparently designed with RV use in mind. It works well in that use. I have had trouble with two of these starting automatically. The problem seems to be in the firmware that controls the automatic choke. Westinghouse has not made it possible to update the firmware even though there are USB ports available for doing this. The customer service people at Westinghouse have been very helpful in dealing with this problem.

This is one of the best generators i have ever used. I use it with my travel trailer when we camp on the beach. it is super quiet so it doesn't annoy the neighbors and i love the remote on/off option. no more having to run outside! its so much easier to move than my original. My only complaint is that the label that has the serial number on it has completely eroded.

Bought the iGen4500 to run my MinnieWinnie, to help power equipment for local music Festivle Equipment and back up for power outage. Have utilzed the first two reasons and been well pleased. Runs quiet, easy to operate and move. The wheels and telescoping handle make loading and moving doable.

Just got this today and tried it out. Everything worked ok. There was some corrosion on the tank when we went to put gas in it and there was gas in it (probably from testing at the factory). People have complained about this and that some won't start because of the choke is stuck (wire comes loose apparently). Do a YouTube search on how to fix it...seems easy. Other than the bit of corrosion it is ran our camper trailer's 15k btu air conditioner, microwave, TV, water pump, and lights all at the same time at 75%. All we are likely to need at any one time. It is quite for a generator, so ok for running the ac unit during the day. Any night use people would probably give us some dirty looks.

Bought this generator because it was rated low noise but it is a lot louder than we expected. The digital display is so confusing because it doesn't correspond with the key. (Example - there is no V for voltage) All in all it seems to be a great purchase.

I bought this generator for a camping trip without power at the beach and it worked great. Nice and quiet with remote start and stop. Plan on taking with me on my summer camping trips and don’t have to worry about not having power or being to loud for people camping nearby.

Beats the Comparable Honda Model/Size/Watts in Quietness, Features and POWER! I really like the Digital read out for all the Run time, fuel level, run time left, etc. Remote Start and Electrical start worked for me every time. The wheels and pull out handle work great. I was worried at first from photos that the telescoping handle and wheels could not handle the weight on grass and mostly flat dirt with a full tank, but it rolls around with ease! Good build Quality. The plastic housing surrounding the generator frame and motor has good sound deadening stuck to it on the inside. Durability is ok enough. It's definitely not a slam around Generator. Remote started worked for me right away and even at it's first start up. Power output is as advertised. If you buy this From Home Depot you can get an additional 3 years extended warranty for additional cost on top of the 3 year warranty Parts and Labor that Westinghouse provides. 6 years total coverage! Remember to follow the Owners manual for first start up and break-in period. Do not over fill the generator with Oil and you will LOVE this generator. I got the gas only Model because the Propane one was out of stock for ages and Gas is more available for me anyways. Put in Fuel stabilizer and you got good gas for at least a year if you keep this in a garage or dry shed. I bought this to be used in California because of the annoying PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) that are happening every fire season in California. I am also using this for camping as well since it's so quiet and portable enough.

running fine -- no problems -- starts every time -- running on propane so far -- keeps everything clean --could be a little easier to get to some of the parts -- but i guess thats what keeps the sound down -- like it better than the Honda -- waiting to see how long it last
