After lots of searching for an inverter generator for my RV I settled on this one. It's powerful enough to run everything in my RV, including the AC, and relatively quiet for the price point. The reason for the 4 stars is the automatic choke. Out of the box the generator started, but smoked like crazy and would not run properly. After some research online I found a service bulletin regarding the automatic choke. Apparently it's common during shipping for an electrical connection behind the main panel to pop loose which impacts the automatic choke. After reconnecting it seems to run without issue. We'll just have to see how long before I have to open it back up again and reconnect. For now everything is good.

Have only had it running for a few hrs, and so far so good. Started up well within a few pulls. Trying it out on refrigerator and freezer, along with a few lights. Nice and quite and appears to be well built (except for the access cover's locking mechanism - not a big deal but appear cheesy). I plan on changing the oil after 10 or so hours with higher-quality oil than came with it.

Best Inverter / Generator because it has ample start up power for a 30' Trailer with 30 Amp Service. Fuel efficient allows for extended operation on 3 gallons of gas. With reduced load easily over 15 hours of Ultra Quiet Run Time. WELL DONE WESTINGHOUSE!!!

We just got our iGen4500 and so far it has worked to out expections. We bought to to boondock with our 5th wheel rv. Ran a ac unit when we tested it, some lights and a appliance. So far all has been perfect to our expectations. Get to really test it and break it in for the coming months.

I can't say enough good about this generator. It looks good, runs quiet, has great features, and starts when I need it. Battery start with remote is super cool!! Provides enough power to cover my necessary circuits without breaking the bank. A little heavy, but not more than an adult can manage and the built in handle and wheeled help a lot. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I made this purchase after my brother purchased this about two weeks ago. The generator is quiet and handles heavy loads well. The quality of the unit along with the directions and supplied accessories shows the quality of a Westinghouse product.

Operating this generator requires choke adjusting. Unfortunately, the choke is behind the side panel which requires removing five bolts. Phillips head bolts that will ware over time. So, poor design in this regards. The choke should be assessable without removing the side panel. Also, the remote on/off FOB is simpley a marketing bell with no whistle. When the generator is remotely shut down. You will still need to go to the generator and manually shut off the battery so you don’t waste battery power. And, you will need to close the gasoline valve so the engine does not flood. Other than those design flaws, the generator works well, as hoped, for the moment. Stay tuned.

I think this is as big of a generator you can get and consider it portable. It has a nicely designed quality telescopic handle and 2 grab handles on top. It is an inverter/generator with specified very low harmonic distortion. I figure that most electric merchandise these days are controlled by sensitive electronics and decided it would be prudent to get a unit with cleaner electricity output then a conventional generator supplies. Considering the retail price relative to other known high quality manufacturers, I think the unit overall is a sound purchase for occasional recreational and emergency usage. My only negative criticism is the very common known issue with the automatic electric choke. Cold starting the engine in almost all scenarios requires setting the choke and the choke should be off when the engine starts to run properly. I was anticipating this to be an issue on the unit I purchased and was not concerned about making the repair as there are several detailed videos online that provide instructions. However, I don't understand why this is a ongoing problem and honestly I was close to going with another manufacturer because I felt that this seemingly minor, ongoing unresolved issue may be indicative of several other soon to be exposed operating problems. My choke would not engage upon initial start attempt. The engine would not start unlike others that did start but the choke would not disengage. My problem was the same though as the electronic choke harness was not plugged into it's connector. I suppose time will tell but I will say after having to remove and loosen most of the plastic panels to repair the electric choke issue, the parts and assembly that I could see seem to be quality constructed. Once I corrected the choke the unit fired up right away and has ran great since.

I am a 64-year-old lady, single, camping enthusiast, and I have no problem using this generator or moving it from my garage to my truck bed. It runs everything in my travel trailer, even the AC, while using the microwave. It's very quiet and I thoroughly enjoy it.

I bought this unit 2 month ago, and very pleased with the performance. Remote starter was must to have for me, it works great. The unit won't start without enough oil; this was the only issue I had: it's hard to figure out how much oil went in and its level. Other than that - it's a great product.
