I bought this last December (2021) but had not taken it out of the box until we lost power yesterday (August 2022). The generator was relatively easy to set up, worked well and kept the fridge and a few other things running smoothly. I think it probably could have handled more. It was also relatively quiet. Of course, time will tell, but I'm quite happy with the purchase so far.

I absolutely LOVE this inverter generator! We took it out for the first time this weekend & used it with our big 5th wheel camper trailer. Everything ran perfectly. It's lighter and quieter than our other generators and if I'm being honest, my favorite feature is the remote control to turn it on and off! We use our camper 7-8 months out of the year and it's a fight to get any of us to go out in the cold to have to start or shut off the other generators we'd used. I also like the digital display of how much run time is left. I'd recommend this to anyone...it's definitely money well spent!

I just bought this a week ago, but I have been using my brothers for months now. I am in construction an have used a butt load of generators (not as big as 4500) but the Westinghouse Brand is by far the best. Like I said I just bought My iGEN 4500 for the use with my RV for Motocross events Knowing that I am going to have much more power than I need. I’ve done much research on this brand via internet BUT WHAT SOLD ME were the amount of people I’ve met at the tracks who WHOLE HEARTILY love and praise there Westinghouse generators.

I ordered this on a Thursday as a late xmas gift from my wife and it arrived on Monday. it came well packaged with oil, funnel, battery charger, and spark plug tools. I filled it with oil and a little gas, hooked up the battery and it fired up right away. So far i am very pleased with this unit. i will update after i get to use it camping this summer.

My son in law was the first to purchase after I researched this generator.We Elk hunt every year and we dry camp with our pull trailers. We used it for a full week without any issues.It was great on fuel and the remote start was a fantastic addition to our prior generator that we had to go out in the cold to start and stop.

I purchased this unit to power my camper, but the day it arrived we had an ice storm and the power went out. I poured in the oil it came with, some gas I had laying around and fired it up. I ran extension cords into the house to power my coal stove, fridge and tv.

PURCHASED THIS LAST YEAR, HOWEVER, DUE TO LOCKDOWNS CAMPING WAS PUT OFF UNTIL THIS YEAR. OPENED THE BOX THIS YEAR FILLED WITH OIL AND GAS... FIRST PULL AND IT STARTED. AFTER LETTING IT RUN FOR AN HOUR WITH NO LOAD, I POWERED IT UP AGAIN AND PLUGGED IN OUR 30/50 AMP CAMPER/TRAILER. NOW FOR THE TEST. I TURNED ON THE MAIN AIR CONDITIONER AND YOU COULD HEAR THE GENERATOR NOW UNDER A LOAD. THEN TURNED ON THE REFRIGERATOR.THE GENERATOR POWERED BOTH ESSENTIALS WITH NO PROBLEM. ACCORDING TO THE GAUGE ON THE IGEN4500 IT WAS SHOWING 25% USAGE. THE NEXT TEST WAS HAVING THE WIFE COME OUT AND CHECK THE NOISE LEVEL. WITH THE GENERATOR ONLY 4 FEET FROM THE CAMPER AND THE BEDROOM LOCATION BEING RIGHT THERE THE NOISE WAS TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE FOR MY WIFE. THE NOISE WAS FINE WHILE IN THE CAMPER LIVING AREA, YOU COULD HEAR IT BUT IT WAS REALLY NOT NOTICABLE WHILE HAVING A CONVERSATION. IF THE GENERATOR WAS PLACED TOWARD THE REAR THE NOISE LEVEL, I'M SURE, WOULD BE EVEN LOWER. AFTER RUNNING THE IGEN4500 FOR OVER AN HOUR THE TRAILER WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE REFRIGERATOR WAS WORKING FINE AND CHILLED. REALLY THE ONLY OTHER ITEM{S} THAT MIGHT BE USED WOULD BE SMALL ELECTRONICS. ACCORDING TO THE FRONT OF THE IGEN4500 THERE WAS MORE POWER AVAILABLE. AFTER ALOT OF RESEACH PRIOR TO MY PURCHSE, I AM SO PLEASED WITH THE IGEN4500. I WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW AFTER OUR SUMMER TRIPS AND WE PUT IT THROUGH THE ACTUAL CAMPING EXPERIENCE.

Upon receiving the shipped generator, it would not start. The problem was a plug for the engine’s choke was not connected. I looked up on YouTube and saw how to fix it. Was called a common problem. Bought three generators and they all have had the same issue. After the fix it worked better than expected.

Connected the battery, added oil & gas... it fired right up at the push of a button. Runs great and super quite. Unit generates enough juice to run EVERYTHING in my 18' camper at once including the 13500 BTU AC with plenty of power to spare. Eco mode ensures that I don't burn fuel unnecessarily by throttling down when extra power isn't needed. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.
