We bought this generator to use on our RV and wow, it is so quiet! Much quieter than even some of the other brands marketed as "quiet". The remote control feature is so nice, not having to go out to manually start the generator when it is cold. Great purchase!

Generator does the job, is easy to start and maintain and will run all the 120 volt circuits in my house. The remote start works great. Fuel consumption is very low and the unit is very quiet. I can fill the tank around 10 p.m. and it will still be running in the morning. I installed a transfer switch in my condo so it's a one connection to the outside plug and done. The only issue I had was the electric choke connector came off the circuit board during shipping. There is a service bulletin out on this so it is a know problem. I reinstalled it and put a dab of RTV on the side of the connector to prevent it from happening again.

I bought this a few days ago and I’ve been putting it through its paces during the break-in. It has performed flawless. I have the gas only version without this electric start and I’m happy I got it cause it’s one less thing that can go wrong. Seems to work great I have no complaints. This is what I expected

Haven't use it for camping yet.I only run it for few hours to test it. Was able to deliver the power I need,charged the batteries without problem.Run my AC,TV and other eletronics with no problem( drawing about 2200watts).Easy to start with the push button or with the remote control.It's difinitely heavy, needs two person when lifting,the good thing it has wheels and handle that can extend to pull the generator easily( i would say on even and pave surface, a little bit hard on grass or unpave area).The noise level I'd say moderate,you can hear each other in a normal converstion even standing 3 feet from the generator.So, overall, excellent quality, excellent build and design.Not as expensive compared to other brand with same power rating,or has more power compared to with similar price brand. I highly recommend this for those looking for a generator with up to 3kw needs.

So far we are very happy with our purchase. This unit has an amazingly low decibel rating for the amount of power that it provides. Although we have not had to use it yet, this will be for our homes energy back up. This unit can power to fridges, our furnace fan, several lights, and some kitchen essentials. For us the quiet aspect was a must. If we have to use this overnight, we can trust that we will have enough runtime time to make it last through the night and not wake our neighbors.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this generator. After hooking up the battery and filling oil and gas, it started on the first pull. I ran it a few hours with a light load. It is very quiet. Read 70db standing right next to it and 52-54db at 50'. I hooked it up to my living quarters horse trailer and it indicated 25% load with the 13,500btu A/C running, went to 75% with the microwave. Who knew they drew this much power? Then turned on a 1500 watt ceramic heater and it approached 100% but the main breaker still held. I highly recommend this product.

The generator arrived today in a well packaged box, good packing material and all componets in good working order. Setup was very easy and generator started on the second pull. Battery charged overnight with supplied charger and it starts easily with push button or remote phob. Gen runs very quiet and I like the information panel. We will see how it does on its first real full use on a camping trip. All in all to this point I am happy witht he purchase.

I have been looking at a variety of different generators to power my new 5th wheel. This isn’t something I will use very often - maybe 2 or 3 times a year when boon-docking. I have had generators in the past and seldom used them do to noise levels and weight, so both were important considerations for me. I wanted something that I could carry on the back of my 5th wheel when needed (easy to load and unload) and be able to setup 50 feet away and not know it is running. While I haven’t had much time to run the new Westinghouse iGen 4500, I have to say I am impressed so far. Unboxing and setup was very straightforward. Added gas and oil, connected the battery and fired it up. I started small with the load - first a light, then a power tool until I got it up to what I thought was operating temperature. Then the big test - connected the 5th wheel in order to try the main 15k AC unit. I should note that I installed an internal EMS power protection unit on the 5th wheel and got an error code as soon as I connected the generator. Being very familiar with electricity and electronics, I immediately knew what the problem was - floating neutral. I was disappointed that the instruction manual doesn’t address this. After tying the neutral to ground (search YouTube for directions), the 5th wheel came to life. I ran the generator through a number of different power scenarios and it handled all of them very well. Noise levels were very acceptable in my opinion. I didn’t find the suitcase handle to be very user friendly. For me, it is easier to pick it up by the two handles and load it on a custom rack on the back of my 5th wheel. Overall, I am very impressed with this generator. Only time will tell for durability and dependability.

Great little machine, quiet, easy start, nice design. However, it doesn't have the power to engage my switch switch box on my RV. I'm getting power to all the plugs and ran a drill to test. I can hook my RV to my other generator and it switches on with no problem, and this generator is only rated at 3700 watts. So I am not sure what the problem is. I will be calling to address.

I just bought this a week ago, but I have been using my brothers for months now. I am in construction an have used a butt load of generators (not as big as 4500) but the Westinghouse Brand is by far the best. Like I said I just bought My iGEN 4500 for the use with my RV for Motocross events Knowing that I am going to have much more power than I need. I’ve done much research on this brand via internet BUT WHAT SOLD ME were the amount of people I’ve met at the tracks who WHOLE HEARTILY love and praise there Westinghouse generators.
