Took right out of the box, put in the oil, gas, hooked up the battery and away it went. Tried the pull start and it was very easy. Ran it for the 5-hour break-in period with no issues. Super quiet and would recommend based on how it has ran so far. Heavy for one person if you have to carry it. Rolls easy.

I purchased this generator based on what information found on the internet checking out all the pro and cons. I was liking for backup generator that is quiet and is to load by myself. I used it for the first time today. It was very easy to load by myself. was able to run my shop vac and circular saw without any problem. I really didn't care that it comes with remote start. Unless I misunderstood the starting instructions nothing should be plugged in until you start it up so you may just as well use the start button on the generator you are right there. the only thing it might be useful for is shutting it off. that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5

We just bought this and I (the wife) unpacked and prepped it to run. It was very easy to set up and started on first try with electric start button. We ran it for over two hours with different appliances attached and ran great and quietly. I hope it keeps this up, if so we will be so happy!!

This generator has a couple of great features that my previous generators had not; The battery start is great! Just push a button and it fires up. The remote is great for when you're starting and stopping more often. This machine is less than half the noise decibels than my previous generators. Two thing I don't care for but are far out-weighed by it's benefits are; the handle for moving it around is awkward and would be easy to re-design. The second is the outside shell is mainly plastic. We'll see how it holds up over the years.

2nd iGen4500 we purchased. 1st one worked great for our class B motorhome. let it go when we sold the motorhome. we live in Florida, so purchased 2nd one for hurricane season. electric start is great. runs quiet and provides all the power we need. have recommended this product to many others.

Received my igen4500 several days ago, product was packaged well and everything needed to start was included except gas of course. Instructions on startup was clear and easy. Generator seems to be constructed well and I love the handle, wheels, and especially the remote. The generator started on the second try, understandable because the carb had to fill with fuel. I was surprised at how quite this generator is. I definitely hope to get good service from this machine because I am impressed so far.

I bought this a month ago received it by delivery about 7 days later. I finally unpacked it she ran great. But once I put a load on it later in the week it kept bogging down and surging . The only item I had power to was my boat air conditioning all the other breakers were in the off position. The ac would come on but the temperature controller would blink out every time the Gen bogged down. I look at the power output it was just .83 showing on the display. Maybe it’s just a defective unit. Yes I would recommend to a friend

When the unit arrived I was quite disappointed with the factory packaging. The side was scuffed, which is not that big of a deal in the long run. However, the oil plug was not screwed in, rather set in, to its port. This meant that lifting it from the box with a slight tilt resulted in oil on my driveway. Not something you expect from new in box product. I called support to complain but got an answering service that was totally incapable of aid. Despite this initial set of bad experiences, I progressed further. Let's start with the bad. The oil plug and oil change process is horrible. It is very difficult to align the threads on the plug to the port. Oil cannot be drained with removal of a plug. The unit must be tilted with the funnel stuck in the oil fill port. The case surrounding the engine provides limited access and makes a clean change impossible. Stuff some shop towels all around the bottom to make this go as smoothly as possible and then clean up the mess afterward. Always expect some oil on the ground for the time following a change as it seeps from the various cavities of the case. Other gripes are the protective covers for the circuit breakers screw on and will ride off with vibration. Found one in the bed of the truck and thankfully knew where it came from. Need to regularly tighten them. Finally, the tank level gauge is hit and miss. I've seen the unit run for hours on 0.0 L of fuel. No, it does not read gallons. The side cover removal includes a top center screw that is machine screw to plastic. It is very difficult to remove or replace due to improper choice of screw. Mine is now marred and I no longer completely set this screw. These should all be hex screws like the lower left corner to avoid such marring. Now for the good. In general, this is the best bang for the buck I could find. The power is awesome. No, you cannot run 2 15K ACs at the same time, but you can run 1 AC and just about everything else. Generator is heavy duty. Appears to be solid and well built. I purchase this unit to power my travel trailer. It comes RV ready with a 30 Amp plug as well as additional standard outlets and USB outlets. I like the push button start feature and fuel shut off switch so you can use the fuel from the carb before storing.

Just arrived today. Straight forward start up instructions with adding oil and gasoline. Some confusion on the sticker about the on/off switch. Would not start manually or initially with electric start. Discovered it worked fine when the engine panel removed. Tried 3 times reattaching the panel cover with same results. Will talk to technical support when they are available.
