I BOUGHT IT FOR MY TRAVEL TRAILER. I LIKE THE REMOTE START, THE WHEELS AND HANDEL. IT RUNS 12,500 A/C & MICROWAVE AT THE SAME TIME. IT IS QUIET & I LIKE THE 30 A PLUG. THE AUTO CHOKE DOES NOT WORK! TO START IT YOU HAVE TO TAKE OFF THE SIDE PANEL & WITH A SCREW DRIVER CLOSE THE CHOKE.

I just received the product and proceeded with the minimal assembly. Just plug the battery add oil and gas and start. It started with no issues. The user manual and other instructions are complete and easy to follow. It ran for about one hour and worked flawlessly . I am looking forward to run it under real conditions for several hours.

This generator, made in Vietnam, is well thought out with lots of nice features. Started right up using the remote after turning over maybe 6 times. Ran for 5 hours on 1 gallon of gasoline with loads varying from 0 to 50% of capacity. After that break in run it ran both RV (50 amp service) air conditioners and the electric water heater and indicated 75% of capacity. Comes with a funnel that threads into the dipstick/oil fill port, spark plug wrench and screwdriver. The 10mm drain plug is a little difficult to get at and there is a positive lead (with a red rubber cover) very close that one needs to be cognizant of. A 4” long open end wrench works. The oil drains into a containment area with its own press in rubber drain plug which prevents oil running everywhere. I changed the oil at 5 hours and there were minute metal flakes in it. I’ll change it again at 10 hours to see if there is still metal in the oil. This is the first gasoline or diesel engine I have purchased in decades that has a published break in period. It only runs at the rpm that is required to provide the amp demand so with no load it idles which reduces fuel consumption and overall noise. With the engine running with no load I measured the decibel level at 10’ directly in line with the exhaust with an app on my iPhone and it indicated 67. it doesn’t seem to get much louder with a load but it does increase somewhat. Measuring decibels is very subjective so take that for what it’s worth. It has a very low tone and I can say I can stand within 10’ and carry on a conversation without raising my voice. Only use will prove it’s reliability and durability but so far it seems to be a good machine.

I purchased this in advance of hurricane season. I don't need a whole house generator and this is the perfect size to power what I need at about 50% load. Setup was easy. The instructions weren't kidding about filling oil if factory oil still remained in the engine. Battery was fully charged on receipt. Started right up and much quieter than other generators we've had.The carrying handle is convenient. Easy to follow maintenance instructions which I will follow, but I really hope I don't have to use it for what I bought it for.

We purchased this unit last month. It was delivered in a timely manner, all parts were there, and it looked great. We put some fuel into it and it ran perfectly. So far the only sad point for me is the weight of the unit. I am in my seventies and not so strong as I used to be so picking this generator or any generator this size up does not work for me. I purchased a pick up truck rack hoist to lift the generator in and out of my truck. Problem solved. I have no complaints as of this date.

I have 8 hours running time on it so far and I love it! The igen4500 is relatively quiet for it's size. I love the fact that it has 3 different ways to start it and especially love the remote start. I look forward to our next camping trip to use it. As like everything else this unit does have some bad reviews but give Westinghouse a chance to make your problems right. The good reviews far out weigh the bad.

Our old generator was incredibly loud and kept tripping when trying to power the AC in our RV. A friend had the iGen4500 and I was shocked at how quiet it was. We are still in the break-in period so I haven't tried powering our AC yet, but when camping with said friend, it powered theirs without issue.

We got this generator a week before Texas winter storm. It got us thru 3 days and nights without power. We connected our fridge, freezer, microwave, lights. The gas consumption is very low: 5 gl. , lasted 26 hours of continuous use. Besides, you do not hear it. The best generator we have ever had. Totally recommended

running fine -- no problems -- starts every time -- running on propane so far -- keeps everything clean --could be a little easier to get to some of the parts -- but i guess thats what keeps the sound down -- like it better than the Honda -- waiting to see how long it last

I was looking for a quiet generator for my RV that was able to safely run my electronic devices. This fit the bill. The run time is excellant for the size of the generator and it is very quiet. No shortage of power either. I was able to run a 15,000 btu air conditioner and all of the RV electronics to include a residential refrigerater and convection microwave without any problem. I am definitely happy with my purchase so far.
