Bought this about a week ago and so far, really great. Starts right up, runs very quiet and has the power needed. Only issue is changing the oil could be a little less messy. Should have a funnel system going to the hole. Other than that couldn't be more pleased. Time will tell!

I bought the iGen 4500 for camping and for the ocassional power outage. I live in the high desert region along the San Gabriel Mt range in California, so, I purchased the high altitude kit for 3000-6000 ft. Westinghouse has an excellent tutorial video that leads you through the process step-by-step to swap out the carburetor jet. FYI, I labeled sandwich bags with each step, which helped in not mixing up hardware and reassembling the panels. We finally got to use the iGen 4500 on a camping trip last week, and I can't be more pleased with its performance and at how quiet it is. It started right up, but I especially love the remote control. A friend in our group was so impressed with it that he said he's looking for a smaller, easier to move generator and decided to purchase the dual fuel model.

My first 2-3 startups of this generator were a little slow and I figured cold start, priming etc, but the 4th time it wouldnt start at all. I checked all the basic maintenance issues like oil, flooding, spark plug and then I went to google. Apparently during manufacturing, a large number of these generators have a wire that controls the automatic choke that is simply not connected, or is connected loosely and just pops out while running the first time or 2. Once the wire was reattached, the generator starts the first time and runs like a dream.

We just did the initial set up this morning. We followed the QuickStart guide and it was seamless. We have only started it and used it briefly but it seems to work great. I really like how easily it starts and how quiet it is. We are looking forward to using this generator for years to come while camping.

I bought this for a quiet generator alternative to a Honda. I am super impressed so far. It started right up after filling the oil and gas. Very quiet, even with the eco mode turned off. I haven't had a load on it yet, but i don't imagine it will get any worse.

Have had several generators or various makes, tried Westinghouse due to being "American company" worst generator I have used to date, poor quality, terrible design, worst handle ever made. Carb. has stuck needle valve, fuel shut off already defective. Oil changes very difficult and poorly thought out for user. Will say remote start is handy but why have display light activated as it can run battery down, if i need to turn on switch to enable remote why not just push start button on front of unit instead, silly in design.

I bought this generator as a product referred by a friend. We go to dirtbike races and everyone "circles the wagons" with their campers. Proud to say I'm not the loudest generator running now. It is quiet for sleeping in the RV as well as powerful enough to run the ac and microwave with no issues.

Just received the package. Well packaged and documented. Smells brand new. Feels and looks in good quality. Yet to be tested when next power outage comes. This thing is heavy but managable. I was able to pull the box out of the machine by myself. With the pull-out handle, moving the machine around is just like pulling a luggage around without much effort. Although it is heavy, the size is smaller than what I expected. I watched on YouTube for a warning that the automatic choke did not work. Later I found out from a Westinghouse bulletin that this issue was caused by a disconnection of a power supply cable during shipping. Hope this will not hanppen on my unit. I will see. One thing that is missing in the instruction manual but I figured out is that you need to push a button on the handle in order to pull the handle out. I hope Westinghouse add this instruction in the future.

The iGen4500 replaces a Yamaha EF2400iSHC purchased in 2017 at the beginning of our RV travels. Wish I had had this all along. Really nice upgrade with the added digital readout and it started right up with the included battery. Remote. Handle & wheels. Quiet. Fits under the tonneau covers on our F150 and F350. Really happy with this purchase!

Had read all the reviews and noticed the issues with initial start-up. I was a little disappointed that the issue has not been resolved. I called support and they sent me the bulletin to deal with the problem. Problem solved after losing a little skin off my hands. Looking forward to using this unit.
