Bought did a test run. Everything seemed to work great. Only negative is I keep it stored in my garage but now I can’t get the smell of gasoline to stop. No spills or leaks just a strong gas smell won’t go away. I’m on day 5. Every thing is shut off on the generator.

This unit is a warranty replacement for one I bought in July 2021. Out of the box, the autochoke did not work. fortunately I found a video on YT that showed me how to fix it in about 10 minutes. Unit ran well and met my power needs for my 5th wheel trailer. Unfortunately, the inverter failed after about 125 hours. Warranty service is a hassle. WH's tech support line is not supportive. Finally took my unit to an Authorized Service Center and it took them several weeks to get a replacement authorized. After that WH shipped the replacement in a few days. Unfortunately the autochoke doesn't work on the replacement and the YT video doesn't seem to apply. Back to the tech support grind!

I bought this unit about a week ago. Once it arrived, I read the directions cover to cover and then thoroughly inspected the unit. This thing is flawless! The instructions said to run it at no more than 50% power for the first five hours of use. The unit is so powerful that I couldn't even get it to 50%! I was plugging everything in and still only reached 25%. Westinghouse is by far at the top of their game. I, without a doubt, will recommend Westinghouse products to anyone I know.

Just picked up the iGen4500, as most of the others are sketchy on being able to run the A/C. Seems like a nice generator and not too loud or drony. I put oil and gas in it and press the start button and it fired right up. One item that tickles my OCD is that almost all the Phillip's head screws are strips. Either the company needs to use better screws or turn down the torque on their drivers.

Recent power outages and a neighbor's recommendation spurred me to acquire this quiet and user-friendly generator for the next emergency. Setup and operating instructions are clear. The 3 starting options are helpful, and the remote start worked flawlessly.

I have a Honda EU 3000 and a predator 3500 now this one and there’s many features I like about this but there are some improvements needed. 1 this when under a load runs around 76db’s and the predator ran at 72db, Honda being the loudest at 79db. I’d love this unit to be quieter. 2.) Oil capacity needs to be 1 qt to make things easy as well as a filter or a magnetic dip stick. Both would be great. 3.) Plastics. I have no idea who is in charge of plastic but these are aweful. They scratch and mar extremely fast and they have stress marks in certain parts. 4.) Gas cap should be made so that it clicks when tightening. 5.) bigger wheels and remove the telescoping pole for better outdoor and camping use. Sand and grit will get in the mechanism and render it almost useless.

Ordered generator on line, arrived quicker than original delivered by date. Generator looks great, easy set up. Have only had it for a couple days but so far impressed. Runs everything on the trailer with little effort , also very quiet compared to other generators.

I use my generator to camp while horseback riding. I prevationally purchased an i 2500 to use while horseback camping, but at the time I did not have a living quarter horse trailer with an AC. Now that I do have the living quarter horse trailer I decided to purchase the IGen4500 C. This generator is packed with so many useful bells and whistles on it that the leading generator used for RVs does not have. I love the power start, and the remote start will keep me from going out in the cold or rain to fire up my generator when I need it. This generator runs as quiet as my 2500 Westinghouse, which is music to your ears when you’re camping and several people are using generators at the same time. The pull handle makes it useful to get it where I need to move it, to get it out of my horse trailer down the ramp and where I plan on running it. The large capacity fuel tank will allow it to run up to 18 hours or more depending on what I have plugged into it at that time. The digital display gives the approximate hours of run time on that tank of fuel, what the current load rate is, and how much fuel remains. I love that it has the 30 amp RV plug on it. The two carry handles on top make it easy enough for a friend and me to carry it together when I have to lift it up. It comes with wheels, so no added expense to buy a wheel kit. It has an automatic choke so we don’t have to worry about choking it before you start it. And best of all it fired up the very first time with one push of the on and off button right out of the box. And I saved about $2000 compared to the leading brand. I hope this review will help you to make up your mind on your next generator purchased as well.

At first start up there was a massive gasoline spill. All over the place. Happy there was no fire. Turns out that the generator is started at the factory and then gasoline drained via the drain in the carburetor float bowl. The employee never tightened the drain nut. This could have caused a fire. The Westinghouse assistant on the phone was unimpressed. Told me he wasn't going to pass along my information to anyone in the company. I've only run the generator for an hour to test it out and it appears to work. But I may not buy any more Westinghouse products.

I bought a different generator that I returned because it was too loud, now with this Westinghouse iGen4500 we can enjoy all the electricity we need with no fear of disrupting anyone else. Very happy and the remote start is wonderful. It took me a long time to decide on the best "Genny" to get and I'm proud my research paying off.
