Originally i was very happy to have purchased this generator. Literally everything that i want on a generator for a killer price. I happened to be one that got one of the duds as i cant get it to start on its own without taking the cover off and manually adjusting the choke. not sure if there is yet a fix for this but i hope to find out soon.

I just purchased the I gen-4500 after extensive searching for a generator for my older trailer. I had a generator that was a gift from my son. Even with 3300 starting watts, it would not run the AC by itself at all, and struggled with just the microwave if it was powering the fridge. And the noise of the motor straining was loud even being enclosed! Enough about the old!!!!!!! The I gen-4500 is exactly what I needed!!! Runs my AC, the fridge, and the microwave, all at the same time, with low low engine speed and sound. I went for power, and sound but it has so many extra features, a 30 amp plug, remote starting, slide out handle tucked away on the bottom, well balanced and smaller size, makes it easier to lift. A little heavier, but with good placement of handles, I feel very confident lifting in restricted areas. Easy initial instructions and setup, 2 pull start up and with no choke, very nice and quiet. I definitely recommend to give this baby a good look. Can't have enough power and with this size, you can't go wrong.

I removed it from the box, connected the battery, installed the supplied oil, filled the gas tank, turned on the fuel, turned on the battery, pressed the start button and immediately it purred to life. I connected my heat gun and it worked. My only disappointment is that the digital read out is in metric liters and kilowatts. I did a google search and found charts to convert them (see attached).

I bought this on 08/06/20 and received it on the 12th. Manual is pretty good except that it does not address the little button in digital meter to change selections but I figured it out. Also the manual needs to be updated to show that it has total run time as one of the selections. There was a card in the packet with the manual that says you get a free cover if you leave a review but when you go to the web site listed on the card it has no place to rate anything. That was kind of disappointing. Got everything up and running and will be using it in the near future. Will provide another review at a later date to provide information on how it performs. I do live at 2600ft elevation and will probably need to purchase the high altitude kit but am not sure where I can find it.

I bought it to use when dry camping and keep hours off my Built in generator. It runs a 15k Ac unit no problem. It wont run the micro and AC at the same time but any other combo of devices is fine. Pretty quiet when using low power, about the same as my Honda 2000. But when you pull a larger load it is a little louder, but not obnoxious. Honestly even then its tough to hear while in the coach. The remote start is AWESOME! Works very well. Tim

This generator works fine after it's started, but starting right now is a pain. The electronic choke has not worked since new and it doesn't appear that anything came unplugged as in the service advisory I'll be taking it in for service under warranty shortly and am hoping that will fix the problem. Also it's not quite as quiet as I hoped it would be, my igen2200 seems quieter even though they are rated the same.

This generator is great for the deer lease. It's light weight so easy to load/unload. Its quite so you can sleep @ night with it running and doesn't scare the deer off. It has enough power to run one a/c unit on my camper for those early season hunts when its still hot out. Also love the eco mode for the cold season in my camper. I turn it on when I only need to run some lights and a TV or charge cell phones.

I just opened the box last night, folowwed the instructions. Put in the oil, hooked up the battery, put some gas in it, maybe a gallon for the break in. Turned on the battery power, pushed the start button and VOILA. This thing just fired up with no hickups. Runs smooth, checked the noise with my phone app, at 20 feet registered 43 db in eco mode, 46 on full power. You can't beat that. I noticed other people were complaining about rust at the gas tube and scratches on the unit. I had none of those. The unit is spotless, no scratches no rust. I ran it for 2 hours on eco mode, now I'm gonna change the oil. And of course the remote is the icing on the cake. This will be able to power my 24' travel trailer or back up my home. I have 3 Champion generators, a 4000 watt and two 2000 wats and they're great but this W estinghouse igen 4500 beats them all.

I bought this a month ago to take on a trip to the Black Hills. It was our first trip out west with our new camper and I was a bit nervous about using a generator for Boondocking. This is by far the quietest generator I have ever owned. We could barely hear it from inside the camper last night. It was easy to setup and run. I would highly recommend this generator!!

Pros: very pleasing color, compact and quiet. not too heavy. loved the wheels with retractable handle. and the front panel. Cons: no oil gauge. this could prevent spills. at least the initial oil provided should not have caused a spill. An index in the user manual would be nice as well.
