Panels are a little warped so watch out putting the sides together with the base. Make sure the sides slide all the way over and lock into the base or you will have problems. Be careful with your hammer or you can dent the box. Top really not suitable for adults to sit on but fine for kids and smaller adults. Not hard to put together if you get everything squared up before you start screwing things together.

It has a 10 year warranty - still so much room for even more outdoor supplies and a lot more room still available. I even have my chaise and my folding tent in it. It does not provide a lock, but, I bought one for $5.00 no problem. It is very sturdy and nice looking. It was no problem to assemble. It can serve as extra seating or even a table. I am already considering getting another one. The best I found after going on line and comparing it to many others including Rubbermaid. I had never heard of this company before but so happy I was able to find it.

I purchased this box last year and I am just thrilled with it. It looks nice and stores all my outdoor cushions, umbrella, hammock, plus a lot more. Also it is keeps everything dry. I am ordering another one, for all my garden supplies, and just miscellaneous items. This will make more room in my shed. I really love this deck box, and I highly recommend it.

Having seen all the other reviews i final bought one. What a great bit of kit easy to put together except the bolts for the the hinge. Who yes Who has a 11mm socket. What's wrong with a 10mm socket. It was very difficult to get the bolts in to hold the hinge attached. But its still a great bit of kit and I think it will last a log time

I needed to be able to store and organize a garage. I bought 7 lifetime boxes and they are very sturdy and work well for what I needed. I have some other boxes around my pool and they have not held up very well. Time will tell how the lifetime boxes do.

We have had this item for over 3 yrs and it's been stored outside in the nastiest of Michigan winters. It's withheld storms through & through. It's easily washed up, snaps apart for cleaning & sturdy. Keeps everything clean & dry...even some of the largest lawn items! We love it!

We read the instructions carefully and got out all the tools recommended to use. We watched the video several times during each step. The deck box took over 2 hours to assemble. The lid does not close securely. I watched the videos again afterward to see if there was anything we could have done differently to make the lid fit more securely. The manufacturer did not align screw holes with the hinges. The hinges also set too high over the lid rail, as if the hinges were not made properly. They did not drill holes for screws to be inserted. The holes that the manufacturer did drill were not completely drilled through. The washers and bolts were not properly packaged together. I bought this deck box because it was made in the USA, thinking it would be better quality and better level manufacturing. Poor manufacturing.

I just picked up two of these storage boxes yesterday and put them together today, ( 1-05-2020). I was going to get the instruction manual and review it at work but the only box I opened did not have one. No problem, easy enough to print off from the Lifetime website. It was actually easy to put together, it was recommended to use two people but my wife was at work and I did it myself. The first one took about an hour as I went slow and kept refering to the pictures. The manual was right on target so don't skip over any pages as tempting as it will be, and your box will come out perfect. I put our chair cushions in one box, it held six chair cushions and a three person swing cushions. Still some room left. Anyway, very happy with this product so far and looking forward to many years service.

Are you sure this is American-made? Although I love my deck box now that it’s assembled and in in my backyard, it was very frustrating to assemble the lid hinges and fasten them to the box. Although the video made it look easy. It was not. I feel like there should have been a right and a left hinge. Because they were the same, one side did not fit flush against the deck box, making fastening the bolt and center nut almost impossible. But I persevered. I got longer bolts, re-drilled the hole in the box, in order to put in all four Bolts and centernuts! Dear Lifetime, please reevaluate the hinge situation. It would avoid a lot of your customers feeling frustrated. I would love to purchase more Lifetime products but I am hesitant due to the difficulty of the assembly.

Great for pool deck box for the kids' toys. Feels very sturdy. Minus one star since doesn't close perfectly. I do have another just like it which I have used for cushions on my upper deck and we keep it closed by hanging padlock in there that we don't actually lock.
