I enjoyed putting the composter together with my girlfriend. It definitely helps to have two people to put the product together. It took us about 7 hours. It was not a continuous 7 hours, but the construction took place over a period of a week. I am legally blind so there was an excuse not to get it done in 2 hours. I have it setting outside and it is already loaded with composting material. Thanks for the product. My girlfriend was excited due to the fact we did not have any parts left over.

I've had these composters for several years, and when some parts rusted I could not find the receipt, but contacted Lifetime to see about how to get replacements. They still had my information on hand from a previous contact and immediately ordered replacements for me under warranty. I love the composters themselves, too. It's great to have two bins, so that one can be finished while adding more raw materials to the second.

I bought my compost tumblers 5 years ago. Some of the parts rusted and I was unable to open it up to fill it. I called the customer service to get a replacement parts to fix it. I was afraid that because I didn't have the receipt or anything left of the purchase that it would be difficult to get. The guy ask me what was wrong and when I had purchase it. With out hesitation he asked for my address and told me when it should get to me. I offered to pay for shipping and he said it was already included.

you need to partially or completely put this item together before selling it or include a specific installation video. it's a nightmare. we are ready to return it to costco. if you value your time this is not worth what you think you're saving buying it at costco. I'm sure if we ever get it together we will love the product but I would not recommend it to my friends, due to the time spent putting it together.

After seeing I was not the only one with this issue, I contacted customer service, and they promptly sent me replacement parts without hassle. Even the best companies will sometimes have issues with their products--one mark of a good company is those that take responsibility for their product and customer experience and work hard to make things right. I bought the tumblers in 2013 or 2014. Aside from a few changes that I would suggest in the instructions for assembling the compost tumbler set, we were able to assemble the set in a couple of hours. The tumblers worked quite well, and I was quite happy with them until the hinge on one of the tumblers rusted through in the winter of 2018-2019. I contacted customer service at Lifetime and asked how I could purchase new hinges and latches for my two compost tumblers. (Only the hinge on the one was completely dysfunctional, but the hinges were showing signs of rust, and I wanted to purchase the parts for both tumblers to avoid delays if and when the other parts should rust through.) To clarify, I was not requesting anything free; I had owned the tumblers for 5-6 years and considered the damage to the hinge to be normal after that time period sitting out in the elements. Bruce, the customer service rep, requested photos of the damage, and shortly I received notification that the hinge and two latches were being shipped to me. I received them, and my husband installed them easily, returning my compost tumbler set to full functionality and usefulness. I was charged nothing for the replacement parts. Obviously, I cannot complain about the service; however, I would comment that I would still like to be able to purchase parts for the second tumbler in the set on the Lifetime website so that I won't have a delay in the case that the parts on the other tumbler rust through or break. Overall, I have had a very good experience with the dual tumbler set and with Lifetime Customer Service. I utilize the tumblers daily to make compost for my garden, and find them very useful and simple to operate. They also have a very large capacity, which helps me get the most out of my garden.

I just had to send some pictures of the items needing to be replaced and they quickly responded and shipped out the needed parts. AT NO COST - what a welcomed surprise.
