I bought this for my wife and her garden thinking that it would be a great investment (which I believe it will be), however, this is NOT a product for beginners to try and assemble! The first part of the assembly is pretty straight forward. When you get to the part where you attach the legs to the composter bins, the difficulty begins. I called Lifetime Customer Service when I ran into a roadblock and the representative that I spoke with had actually assembled this item himself! I was shocked and appreciate the training that Lifetime invests in their folks. Anyway, after speaking with him, one of the biggest hurdles was crossed (apparently, there's a slight deviation in manufacturing in China vs. other contractors that make these for Lifetime). Once I got past that point, it was pretty easy to finish assembling the unit. You just have to be careful that you don't put the legs on the wrong side of the unit as wells as how they're attached inside of the barrels or you'll have to take it apart and reverse them. If Lifetime would modify their instruction book and videos (you can find visual assembly instructions on their website as well as YouTube), this product would be much easier to assemble. Overall, it's a great product and will be very useful during our growing season.

Have had the Double Tumblers for about ten years and found them hold up well even on the extreme N/W corner of California with heavy rain and 'salt spray' from the Pacific Ocean. After 8-10 years the hinges did finally rust and 'lock-up' and the bands around the bins rusted and broke, however a call to Lifetime to order parts was easy with the parts being sent quickly and at no charge! Customer Service is EXCELLENT! AS IS THE PRODUCT!

We bought the double bin rotating composter about one year ago. After a year the hinges rusted to the point where they could not function. I called customer service and they sent replacement parts free of charge. It was unexpected but very much appreciated. The Tumblers were great.

We bought ours three years ago and it still looks new. We absolutely love it. Well worth the money. It's made very heavy duty. Legs do not bend when barrels are full. Critters have not gotten into it. We put two buckets underneath each side to catch the leakage which we then poor on our plants. What I have read, this is compost tea and it's great fertilizer too. My husband set it up higher so we can just drop the curred compost into a wheel barrel instead of having to shovel it all out. Our in laws were so impressed with it that they bought one too. It also has saved us tons of garbage by composting everything we possibly can. Tho we don't put meat/bones in ours because we don't want to attract bears.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just assembled this yesterday,it took my son and I about 1.5 hours. Good instructions for the most part. Time will tell if I have any rusting problems with the hinges, and how resistant this will be to a curious bear that has been known to climb our 7' fence.

I bought my compost tumblers 5 years ago. Some of the parts rusted and I was unable to open it up to fill it. I called the customer service to get a replacement parts to fix it. I was afraid that because I didn't have the receipt or anything left of the purchase that it would be difficult to get. The guy ask me what was wrong and when I had purchase it. With out hesitation he asked for my address and told me when it should get to me. I offered to pay for shipping and he said it was already included.

I've had your double barrels composter for almost 3 years. This spring when I tried to open the hatch I found them frozen shut as the attached hinges were rusted shut. Spoke to your agent Shawn who was very helpful and sent replacement parts. I installed the hinges and the composter is now up and working properly. Thank You, Henry

I bought this composter more than a year ago. It does an excellent job of composting the materials. One of the hinges rusted through and broke. I contacted customer service and they ordered new hinges at no charge. This is a company that stands behind its products!

Had the tumblers for a couple years and work great for composting but the closure mechanism is not made for real life. Mine seized on the left one after a little over a year and the right one a year or so after that. Completely rusted through and unusable. 3 stars for the function, 0 stars for the construction.

Corner parts for my composter have fallen out and become lost over many years of use. I requested to purchase a few of these corners, but, was immediately answered that I would be shipped replacement parts. A whole set of corners was immediately sent at no cost to me. I am so impressed with Lifetime's service and also their product quality. We have several other products from Lifetime, and have never had an issue. Great company that stands by their products!
