We purchased the double-bin rotating composter a number of years back. It had been outside and unmaintained for a few years and had some issues (needed some parts replaced). We itemized several parts that needed replacement (but were unable to find our receipt). They sent us the parts (and then some - extras included) without hesitation. A+ rating in my book.

Unit does an outstanding job of composting however some of the metal parts have rusted to the point that one side is no longer usable. Called customer service to see what I could do to save the unit and they agreed to send all of the rusted parts. Unit is great...customer service is excellent.

We bought one composter and liked it so much we purchased another one the following year. It has a large opening that ensures it is easy to get the compost materials in and out of the container. It is large enough for the contents to heat up but still small enough to turn easily. Living in a high-altitude, zone 3 area (aka. cold), we are usually able to empty 3 of our compost barrels in the fall and the fourth in the spring. An added bonus is that this composter doesn't attract rodents.

I've been using the double barrel compost bin continually for close to ten years. I live in the NE where winters can be cold and summers wet and humid. The bins, if turned periodically, produce useable compost quicker then any other set up I've used. One of the hinges rusted shut and broke when I tried to open it. Nothing lasts forever when exposed to freeze cycles and rain. I contacted Lifetime hoping I could source a replacement hinge instead of buying a new barrel. Lifetime sent me a new hinge free of charge. I'm going to do my part and keep the new hinge lubricated. It's an understatement saying I'm a happy customer.

We bought this from a friend and began using it immediately. It sat for a while and one of the hinges was bound up and eventually broke. I contacted the company and with a day or so heard from the customer service department. They were very friendly and helpful and even though I was not the original purchaser, they sent me the new hinges with no charges. They even sent an extra set! You rock Lifetime!

While it works, it is a great! We had the same issue as many this year where the door hinges rusted shut. Colby was great in quickly taking our information and sending new hinges within 2 days. We are once again enjoying our spring gardening, largely in part to our homemade compost bins. Great investment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I requested 2 metal bands with 2 threaded and 2 non threaded pins to replace the ones that rusted through. The parts arrived today and to my surprise they included 2 sets of hinges and 4 latches with enough screws and nuts to replace all the hardware on one set of my dual composters. I am back in business. I imagine I will have to replace the hardware on the other set of dual composters some day but I am confident that I won't have any trouble getting the parts.

Over time, the hinges on the tumbler doors have become corroded and needed replacing. I contacted Lifetime service and they worked with me to find the parts I needed (at no cost). I learned that my parts were on back order, so I reached out again to discuss. With very little effort, I was told they were sending out a brand new composter! I was shocked. Lifetime really stands behind their name!

THIS is the kind of Customer Service that really makes me happy! I have had a couple of bad experiences with service recently, and you have just erased those bad memories! I applaud you and your company for taking ownership in your products and in the true meaning of Customer SERVICE. This will ensure that I continue to buy LifeTime products and tout them to my friends!

Parts that needed to be replaced were sent out and arrived within a week! The customer support department is AWESOME...the replacement parts ended up being FREE. This company truly walks the talk of exceptional customer support. I will buy their products again without without a second thought about quality and standing behind what they sell.
