Upgrade from my LE750 edger

Overall happy with the purchase. Just opened and use this tool in the past hour. It is better built and feels more rugged than my 20 year old Black and Decker LE750 which will now serve as a backup after I replace the worn out motor brushes. The motor is very powerful and was able to edge my lawn faster than ever before. A minor complaint is that the support handle came with the bolt but appears to be missing the mating nut. Looked all over the clean area I was using for the setup and assembly of this tool. Without this nut, the handle was difficult to use with the high torquing of this tool. Will pickup one from the local hardware store. Otherwise happy with my purchase.

I had a curb and a driveway that hadn't been edged in years. The weedeater couldn't make it through the first few layers so I needed more power. This thing is like a skill saw on the end of a stick. It looks like I cut it with a laser I. Recommend it.

More powerful than the B%26D that I replaced. Had ample power to edge driveway and sidewalk which had not been done for awhile

A present for a family member building a new home

I have owned 2 of these lawn edgers and love the appearance of my yard. Now, I have purchased one for a family member building a new home. Great product.

Does a great job edging my driveway. Makes a nice straight line. A little bit of a learning curve. So glad this is electric, not battery powered. We have many WORX battery powered yard tools. Although they work great, the batteries have to be changed frequently. Just a couple of long, heavy duty extension cords and I was able to do a long driveway, front and back sidewalks. Recommend highly.

Great appearance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to assemble the edger quickly and easily to begin the task of edging the driveway and sidewalk to provide a terrific appearance for our home. Several walkers have asked what did I use for such a great look.

Worx works!

Awesome so far. It's not anything like using a gas edger, but once you establish your first couple of cuts, it's like buttah! Definitely bought the warranty to be sure I have no problems at all for the next 3 years. Clean, clear, deep cuts. Would recommend to a friend, if I had one.

Great edger, highly recommend, unless...

No issues with edger except the blade guard. I do like the edger and it works well, especially the edge guide, BUT it cannot work as intened if your grass grows above the driveway or curb level. Unfortunately, the safety guard that covers the blade sticks out in direction of grass. If your grass is taller than driveway/curb, the guard catches onto grass and it's very difficult to move the edger forward. The only solution is to remove or cut out part of the guard which is not practical nor safe. Do not buy if your grass (especially St. Augustine) grows more than 1/2 to 1 inch above your driveway or curb due to the placement and width of the blade guard.

Performance Not Electrifying

The Worx 7.5” electric edger replaced a 20-year-old different brand. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I am disappointed with the performance of this edger compared to the one it replaced. Although it does an adequate job of edging along the sidewalk, it is underpowered. The edging line is not as clean as I would like but is acceptable. My main problem with the edger is the design of the blade guard. In many places, the guard comes in contact with the turf, causing the right rear wheel to float off the sidewalk. This makes it difficult to keep the edger flush against the sidewalk in order to maintain a straight line. The floating rear wheel also results in a shallower depth because the blade is forced above the turf by the blade guard’s contact with the turf. Overall, this edger is average – average price, average performance.

Screws stripped in plastic base

The bottom guide on the edger guide is made of metal, but screwed into plastic...I got half way around my yard and the screws stripped and made it impossible for the guide to stay in place
