I bought this generator because our community has been experiencing several random/unannounced power outages lately and I don't want to be without power this winter! After doing a lot of research, this generator was the winner. It provides the desired wattage and features and is supported by a solid review base. Setup was simple and the generator started right up.

I've been looking at this for 2 yrs. We live in Northern calif. foothills.Were fires and wind can take out your power at any time.I finally got it and feel so much better now.I have test run it once and it runs the hole house and the well with no problems.I would tell anyone who asks about one to check out Westinghouse first.

I bought the 9500w generator and I'm not disappointed. Very easy to install the wheels and the handle is preinstalled. Added the oil which is included and after filling with gas, and connecting the battery, it fired right up with the push button ignition. Pairing of the key mod was explained in the directions and was fairly easy. Feels awesome knowing we'll be with power and not have to go stand in line for ice with most of the other unfortunate ones when it's lights out. Thank you Westinghouse for such a great pruduct. Bought this generator to replace a smaller unit. Every power outage, ihad to string extension cords all over the house to connect different appliances and lamps. Quite the job. So I decided to upgrade to a generator that would power most of the house through a transfer switch. The 9500 does the job. The bonus of remote start makes it very convenient to get things up and running in no time. Plus the unit is good value for the money. So far so good.

I am very happy with this generator. I love the remote start feature, The many outlet selections up to the 50 amp plug, which we utilize for powering up most of our house. It comes complete with a battery, battery charger, and the exact amount of engine oil needed. even came with a funnel for adding the oil!

We live in south Texas and was without power for several days. This is a definite need for anyone no matter where you live. You must expect the unexpected and this product will be here for use when the unexpected happens. So happy I decided to make the investment for my family. This is a great generator, it came packaged well and the shipping was super quick. Runs like a dream.

Purchased for back up power for residence. Started right up and runs well. About as noisy as expected for the size of the unit. Alot of great features such as remote control, large fuel tank, and status meter. One concern is the high THD rating. All in all happy with purchase.

I bought this generator prior to hurricane season. I live in Florida and they say we will have a very active hurricane season this year. The generator arrived in great condition. It looks well made. I feel that we can handle any power outage that comes our way.

Attached the wheels and feet, filled the generator with oil and gas and it started right up on first try. Glad the tools, proper oil and amount came with it. I really like the electric start with the remote which makes it easy for anyone to use. No hurting your shoulder pulling a rope to start.

I had the Westinghouse 9500 for 2 and 1/2 years. I read the manual front to back at least three or four times just to make sure I understood it the best I could. The only thing I did not understand about it was the section about switching the neutral or ground or something based on whether it was a mobile home. I never did figure that out or understand it, but that's on me. I checked the oil as instructed and followed the maintenance schedule as well as possible. For the first two years whenever there was a power outage, I could easily go out, flip a switch start it up and run my whole house like the power never went out. For the last 6 months, it was providing the power for an RV, including the air conditioning unit, in extremely hot weather conditions up to 118° . I don't know what we would have done without it. Then winter came, and that was the beginning of the end. It began making a rattle sound, which I thought was just one of the leg nuts rattling off, it didn't sound really serious based on my limited experience.... The next day BOOM it exploded, not in a combustion and fire way, but in a gear thingy breaking in half, busting through the motor casing and spewing bearings and other miscellaneous parts on the ground beneath it. Was very impressive! But I still give this awesome generator of five star because it truly went above and beyond what any generator should ever be expected to endure! The remote start promoted my laziness and the reliability promoted my comfort level in potentially uncomfortable situations! Yes I will get another one!
