Just purchased and setup the Westinghouse 9500 generator. It was very easy to setup and started up right away. I purchased to connect to my home in the event of a hurricane with resulting power outages. Been through several already and I'm finally prepared!

Purchased my WGen 9500 from Norwall Power Sytems online. They were very knowledgeable regarding these generators, very professional, and the generator arrived very quickly. Unpackaging and start-up instructions were very clear, and the generator initially performs flawlessly. I'm impressed with the quality, fit and finish of this generator.

We bought this generator to provide emergency back-up power to our whole house. I did a lot of research and looked at lots of reviews. This unit is consistently rated top notch. This unit with its' 50A transfer switch receptacle allows us to provide power to the whole house as needed. I look forward to this generator providing all the power we need if we lose power.

I have a Westinghouse inverter and a pressure washer….not sure I'll ever trust another brand again after the quality I get from Westinghouse products!! I bought the WGen9500c to power my whole house for a long period and it did not disappoint!!! Wired everything up and was running my entire house off the generator for 3 hours and it barely lifted a finger!!! The remote start works perfectly and everything was a very simple setup!! I'll always trust Westinghouse!!!

We purchased this generator almost a month ago and couldn't be happier with our decision. Living in Eastern NC, we experience hurricanes yearly, and we get the occasional winter snowstorm. We live out in the country and anytime any such storm is forecasted, its practically a guarantee we will lose power. In the past, these power losses have been anywhere from a few hours to several days. I have a 26-year-old special needs daughter who spends the majority of her life on the internet. Of course, no power...no internet, It doesn't take long before everyone is in a fowl mood. Also, if the outage extends more than a few days we lose 2 chect-type freezers full of food and everything in the refrigerator. Added to all of this, I, myself was put on oxygen by my doctors in July. Its something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. As you can read, taking all of these circumstances into account made selecting a generator a very important decision. We did our homework and researched several different models and brands. After much deliberation, we decided on the Westinghouse WGen 9500. It met all of our needs and then some, It's big enough for the square footage of our house, and having the option of using the remote is truly a blessing, I don't want to have to go out in a storm at my age to pull start it, at 70 years old, it's not safe. We haven't had it a month yet but have already put it to the test. We took almost a direct hit from tropical storm Ophelia last weekend. We lost power before the storm even made landfall. Within minutes we were back up and running. Nobody got fussy without the internet, we had no loss of food and I was able to continue on my oxygen. This generator is definitely a lifesaver. We do have plans to have it hard wired to the house when finances permit but even using it with cords, we couldn't be happier. I would like to receive the cover to protect it. I recently bought this generator and ran it through the hurricane and was able to power my entire home on propane and gas, I wasn't able to utilize the natural gas as I'll explain in a second. The setup, instructions, and quality of the build have been excellent, and I appreciate the outlet covers which is a feature many don't have. I have only had two problems so far, the first is the supply hose for the natural gas, and the second is the lack of clarity around BTU requirements at peak power. The natural gas supply hose says it is 1/2' in all the advertisements and says it fits 1/2' connections. However, the supply hose is only 1/2' on the male fitting, which has a quick connect already attached. However, the the female side is 3/8', which is the side you'll connect to your home ng supply. This 3/8" fitting creates a reduction point at the supply, and limits the available gas and the overall flow rate. Additionally, the customer support was not able to clarify the BTU's being utilized at peak power, which limits a customer's ability to plan for meter sizing. I currently has a support request with Westinghouse to acquire a new supply hose that has the correct 1/2" fittings on both ends.

I was extremely impressed my the performance of this generator when I witnessed first hand how well it worked at a friend's 1600sqft home. She was able to run her AC, all the lights, TVs and power her important appliances like refrigerator, deep freeze. It's easy to move around with the built in handle, very sturdy!

Westinghouse offers great value for the price. You can power your fridge, a window air conditioner, pool pump, lights, fans, and a microwave with this. It's plenty to get through the famous Houston power outages. Great insurance. And the tri-fuel options are great. Terrific product.

We are so happy to have purchased this generator. Its compact size and different fuel options will make it easy to be comfortable during our next temporary power loss event. Instructions are straight forward and simple. Price was right too. Thanks Westinghouse!

Bought a 6500 right before the Texas freeze. Assembled out of box at night when my other generator quit. Was assembled and working in less than 30 minutes at near zero temp. Very easy to use. Sold that to my son and bought the 9500 for whole house.
